  • We achieved HUGE gains in power & torque for this Triton MQ - custom dyno tuned for max power/torque!
    Only other mod is a DPF-back exhaust system - factory DPF is still installed & is fully operational, no other engine modifications or improvements have been done to this one...

    that's definitely maxed out mine jumped around 20kw max which I was happy with I wonder what boost level its at now. if you still have the dual mass fly wheel enjoy the next 5 hrs because your clutch will not last .

      Hey Phil, it's fine mate, no issues with the driveline. Remember, this customer asked for max power/torque/grunt. On average, out of the MQs & MRs for just a custom dyno tune (but not max grunt tune), we see gains of 30kw/100nm at the wheels, which is around the 28% mark in both power & torque. Safely & reliably.

      Still no issues with the clutch over 1 year later.

    Is there a fuel consumption difference as well

    • @UltimateDieselTuning
      @UltimateDieselTuning  3 года назад +2

      Usually, better on fuel.

    • @bloodyterrific
      @bloodyterrific 2 года назад +2

      Yes there is a saving on fuel economy. Even though the vehicle makes more power and torque it uses less power and torque to get to speed and maintain speed.

    Hey what size tyres and lift on that ute? As I’m contemplating what to do on my MQ Triton

    • @UltimateDieselTuning

      2 inch lift & not sure on the tyres as it is a customer's ute

    Love to see if ultimate tuning can share if there is garrentees of engine longevity after a tune and will warrent their work if an engine failure occurs?? After all tour warrenty is lost after any tune. FACT.

      Any decent tuner will throw the stock tune back in it before you take it back for warranty issues.

      Hey mate, you're welcome to call us on 1800034373 so we can go over our warranty with you. Ask to speak to Rob. And no, your warranty is definitely not lost after a tune - we tune vehicles straight from dealerships all the time.

    I got a triton in 200kms still new. How long should I wait before I get it tuned

    • @UltimateDieselTuning
      @UltimateDieselTuning  4 года назад +1

      We tune them straight away mate. But if you want to wait 1000ks, til the engine is all worn in, then that's fine too. No issues either way.

    Would this be suited for towing a 2.6t caravan ? We want to be towing up ranges and would like the power to be there. Otherwise I'm thinking of upgrading the car.
    Cheers

    • @UltimateDieselTuning
      @UltimateDieselTuning  3 года назад +1

      No, not for towing a big van - this car does not tow heavy weights. Expect around a 25% gain in power/torque for yours if it tows a big van.

      @@UltimateDieselTuning well you had no issue taking my money when I explained my situation. Got my tune and honestly don't feel much better. I highly don't recommend it to anyone. Save your money

    • @UltimateDieselTuning
      @UltimateDieselTuning  3 года назад

      @@Montysonthemove of course it would feel a lot better mate - we would not have let it go if it wasn't making the gains that it should. Are you putting your foot down with it? If I had your surname I could look up your dyno graph to shed some light on the situation.

    • @UltimateDieselTuning
      @UltimateDieselTuning  3 года назад +3

      @@Montysonthemove I found it. Yours made a 35% gain in torque & a 24% gain in power, which is bang-on. Probably more gains in torque than they usually make actually. With nice, fat gains across the rev-range. For example, at 1900rpm you used to have 40nm & 75kw & now you have 60nm & 105kw at that same rpm. Which is a 50% gain in torque & a 40% gain in power right there at that rpm. I don't understand how you do not feel the difference, unless you are not putting your foot down on the accelerator pedal?

    • @Montysonthemove

      Montgomery. Done 2 months ago roughly. When towing i feel no difference at all. Even flat foot

      No issues with engine longevity. This is the 3rd vehicle that’s been tuned. First was an mn triton manual, that had 178km on it before traded. 16 mq triton, auto with 98k on it before traded, 19 mq triton which is manual, one of the last for 68k on it and no issues at all.
