- Join me as I host my childhood besties in the Hamptons for the weekend and throw a taco-themed dinner party with lobster quesadillas, carne asada tacos, and strawberry margaritas.
Here I am, once again, asking someone to give this amazing creature a lot of money so she can do this all of the time, EXACTLY THE WAY IT IS, CHANGE NOTHING JUST GIVE US MORE.
I LOVE YOU
@@wishbonekitchenwe’re working on it!!
I am here for the realness of this. Thank you for the most unfiltered look at the crazy amount of work that can go into a dinner party and just carrying the cooking load.
Yes. Yes Miss Meredith. Premium content. Because there is nothing better than witnessing someone TRY… PUT IN EFFORT. Whether it turns out perfectly or not, watching someone try their very best is ALWAYS amazing. Thank you for this needed reminder… and cook on! We can’t wait for what comes next!💕P.S. I’m quite sure the meal still tasted great!
thank you!!! I’m glad to know we can all learn from my mistakes and laugh 🫶
This video was so real. I feel like a lot of us (myself included) think your life just so fun and fulfilling all the time, making all this delicious food in beautiful places. But the frustration when you're working SO HARD at something and it's not going the way you envisioned is incredibly relatable. If you work this hard at a dinner party with your friends, I can only imagine how amazing the cookbook will be!! Keep doing you!!
THIS!! I love you thank you so much ❤❤❤❤
as a fellow cook, I hear you and feel you with the frustration (albeit, I do not have the added pressure of posting online). But as a viewer, I LOVE THE REALNESS!! including that there were tears, wanting nobody to talk to you while you try to figure out something in the kitchen, and forgetting to make dessert. A+ on your content, always.
I really appreciate the authenticity of your videos cooking for people. It’s hard and sometimes things don’t go right. Thanks for showing us all sides of the process!
These are learning moments for us all. And I love your transparency because people don’t post the reality that not all meals are perfect. When I try a new recipe and add my spin it’s not always the best…but such is the way of life 😌 remember don’t be too hard on yourself
The way I audibly screamed when I got this notification!!! So excited for a new episode.
Thank you so much for posting this! this made me feel so much better about how much work it is to host a dinner/a weekend and that sometimes your recipes don’t turn out like you wanted. Thank you and keep on making content like this please! It is a fresh of breath air for you to not have it 100% percent figured out.
Did anyone else sit and re-watch the vlogs at 2:30 that you've already seen because the vibes are just too good? Because ✨same✨
hahahhahahh ok im glad i was afraid they'd be ~annoying~
@@wishbonekitchen Never, instead the crowd is chanting MORE
I appreciate that you never settle and strive to keep leveling up! That’s how I know your food is fire!
i really hope your friends appreciate all the time and energy you put into cooking and i hope they help you as mush as they can
Love this series. You being so real is what makes it great!
This is so delightfully unhinged 😂 Making my entire day
Loove this more candid style and learning what worked and what didn't. That's so valuable ❤
Oh my god i love this series so much it inspires me to do something like that for my friends as well
You just have a way to make things like dinnerpartys so achievable
I love you for that ❤
Thank you for sharing the things that didn’t go as you planned! I learn the most from cooking videos that explain the science behind why we do things, or the person sharing when something went wrong and how they would do it next time!
So fun watching you in long format. Your personality shines. You’re so talented as a chef and I love how you show the fails too(lime juice) so relatable! So much time and effort on a component of something that your not to satisfied with. I’ve been there. The faces you make and the”pretty good”. So funny! Thanks for sharing ❤
I’m half way through this video and loving every minute. Your rant about grocery stores is so spot on. Especially having to go to Whole Foods after Trader Joe’s 🫠
Probably one of my favorite videos ever. You’re so real. Keep doing this. Recipe fails and all!
You and Baked by Melissa are my two fav people to watch make food that came from watching yall on tiktok. Comforting, funny, real and make wholesome meals look so easy and good to eat. Bought her cookbook and can’t wait to get ahold of yours too!❤️
I've been craving a new episode like you wouldn't believe I'm so happy you're back
Yay!!
Loved this! Super bummed that we're losing the Hamptons private chef content for the summer since that's why I originally followed, but so proud of how your career is growing and evolving!
loveee your channel you are such a ray of sunshine ❤and the food always look so good ofc😌
I genuinely check twice a week to see if you’ve posted another one of these I need you to know I watch them like a comfort show LMAO
I loved seeing you workshop recipes and not have them turn out exactly as you wanted. Here for the beautifully polished recipes you always put out but also nice to see the BTS process of recipe testing!!!
I relate to this SO MUCH. And to this I say, please give yourself grace. This IS a huge learning experience for you and for us. It shows us it will not always be perfect. Sometimes you do have to start over. I just did a whole “dinner party” for my dad when I flew over to him, while simultaneously cleaning his kitchen, and I ended up over salting everything because I stupidly didnt realize one of his seasonings had salt as the first ingredient!! Soooo I definitely feel you in that moment of literally about to cry and scream after working so hard!! But we are human. Thank you for showing this vulnerability, you are my FAVORITE ❤
the BEST series ever. i love these videos so much
Thursday morning made! So stoked to see that you posted!!! 💖
I just love you so I will love anything you do. Big supporter over here ❤
This just made my entire day!!
I loveeee your tik toks and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to watch one of your yt videos. This is perf so much fun 🫶🏻
thrilled for a new video! plz never change, your honestly is so refreshing and charming and fun and you❤ ✨️
Moving home after grad school and will be doing a stint as a private chef in the hamtparents house so tyty for the inspo 😍 I love u and I love cooking!!!
love these videos! never change!!
I live for these videos!!
Awesome! Love this!
as a Brazilian- you should’ve added wayyy more sugar (that’s why the condensed milk is a must) and consume the lime juice right away. if you don’t want it to be bitter, remove the peel.
YAY! enjoying my morning coffee in australia watching this 💛
Omg hi!!!
Love love LOVE this series! and yes it is real and I felt this many times where things were yummy but I still needed to redo the recipe!
What a cute rental location. So happy that those long, hard summers of private-cheffing have afforded you this new opportunity to enter your own Barefoot Contessa era. Hard work DOES pay off. The food looked off the charts delicious. You truly work with ingredients within reach for many of us and this makes your cooking even more appealing to me. I get so many compliments on your recipes, especially the tomato galette. Can't wait to see more episodes from this fabulous rental. Have fun, dear Meredith!
fun fact: in Brazil we call that Swiss Lemonade and that is not our “default” method. It gets very bitter if you don’t cut that little white membrane thingy of the limes. To do that: quart the limes lengthwise (?) and cut the white corner in each wedge and then blend and strain. It does not keep so it’s better done right before serving/consuming. Hope you try it again! 🫶
The commentary on wegmans and Trader Joe's is 1000% accurate!!! Love these videos so much!!!
It's always a good day when we get a vlog from Meredith! And it's almost an hour? We are eating good tonight, friends!
So excited to see this. Thanks for continuing to share with us! Would be very curious about what equipment your brought with you to cook vs. what was there, and hoping you will share more day in the life videos, no matter what you are doing!
I brought most of the equipment I’m using!
Love it so much! Your friends are so lucky to be in your foodie circle!!! My boyfriend is wondering why I keep saying it’s a pesto girl summer (or anything girl summer) every time I eat something good. You are hilarious girl!
Yes girl!!!! I learned so much from how you thought through how you’d do things differently next time. Taking notes 🧐📝
I’m so excited you’re back!!!!!!
This is so fun!! You have a great cookings show aura
I love this!!!
I'm throwing a dinner party for my birthday next week and this is exactly how I feel it's going to go lol ily queen
Wegman's started in my home town so I am forever a fan of it! The ones in Rochester, NY def have bounty and big name brand items. Haven't been to the one in NYC yet - but visiting next weekend so I will probably go! Weggies for life
Same here! I was like wow that must be a shelf space issue - if there's only so much space in a small, city, vertically-oriented store, of course they're prioritizing their own brands for margins. A suburban Wegmans experience would change her mind 😎
Great point! I would definitely think they have less shelf space
New Englander here. Used to live in MA 15 min north of Boston. Moved to NH, currently work in MA. Grocery stores. Hannaford. Hands down. Great produce, bread, meats. Amazing. And they bring in a,lot of local farmers. And everyone loves a good market basket shopping trip if you’re from NE. But their produce doesn’t last long. And also there’s only 1 wegmans near my work in Burlington and they have bounty haha not sure what NY wegmans are doing lol. But wegmans fruit is fresh as hell
I've done the same thing with the limes! It happens but you still make great videos!
Premium content!!!!! Loved it!
'chaos and a sob story' is such a vibe
Literally never change
I appreciate the realness of this video
I am so here for these long videos
My perfectionist self needed this
You are so good at what you do
I was thinking where has she been and then found you on Tik Tok and thought ohh..she’s been working her a** off😂😂😂
I have to say you are one of my favorite food bloggers/influencers/chefs like up there with Ina Garten and she’s been my favorite for forever. However, I love your content a little more because you are so relatable. I am an aspiring chef and there are days that I cook for the family I work for and I feel so insecure about my food and my talent and it brings me comfort knowing that even the best of the best have those days and that the food is still delicious even if it’s not exactly the way we want it to turn out. Please give us all the raw/unhinged/real content!!!
Well, I'm still obsessed ❤️
Millie’s is our OG place. love love love! ❤️
The zucchini discussion, YES 😂
i've made the brazilian limeade before and it was deeeelish (esp when we added tequila to it lol) but i think it works bc of the sweetened condensed milk -- sweet enough to counter the bitter
Winco is my favorite west coast grocery store chain because it is cheaper than you will find anywhere else, but I love Wegman's because everything they have is just so fun
Fred Meyer/Kroger is cool too but I don't have one anywhere near me :(
The quesadillas looked bomb! Maybe try to wrap them the same way but poke some holes with a knife to release steam? I'm inspired to grill although I don't even have one!
“I’m really trying to find the silver lining in everything guys.”
2 mins later
“Dreams do die. F*** my life…whatever.”
😂😂😂 i laughed so much at that 😂
Sometimes I cook while watching these videos!
Best content ever
Learning moment for us all !!!!
40 mins in and my fave part so far was when you spoke to us like in Dora the Explorer ❤ i loved it thanks for asking!
Omg and the stress when you were talking about the cheese and the foil? This is a Dore episode 4 sure. I’m glad we ended on a high with cookbook chat and all 🫶🏻
Yes!!!! 🙏😭I never use lemon juice or lime juice in a bottle. The flavour is so different. I tried once with guacamole and it’s simply not the same as the fresh fruit. Amazing content by the way 😊 new subscriber here 👋
If you ever go to Newport you gotta try the lob quesadilla from Perro Salado
Here in Brazil we take out the white part of the lime :)
You’re my favorite person on the internet dammit
I need a shirt that says “when life gives you sour limes, make strawberry margaritas”
Yay a new video!!!!
Yeaasssss wishbone kitchen hype house
Where is your apron from?! So cute!!
I love this video so much, I feel like we’re on FaceTime
Where is your white collared shirt from?
You’re def our generation’s Ina Garten. Love to see it!
Great video!! Do you edit your own RUclips videos? ❤
As a Capricorn myself, I’m in 100% agreement with you 😂 I too love to blame my astrological sign on my own personal problems
I hope that one day you buy your Hamptons home ❤️❤️❤️
You're so cool!!!!
I love all the other videos! This one was wayyy too much. Not sure what you were going through? I really hope you’re okay ❤
I LOVE POST NOTIFICATIONS
maybe the dinner with friends was the friends we made along the way lol
please please please tell me where you acquired that beautiful white linen shirt
Fun fact: in Brasil, Brazilian lime is Tahiti Lime 😂
i love this video! Question: There has to be a median between the nasty fake citrus in the lemon bottle and fresh squeezed right? Like I know target sells organic lime juice in a glass bottle. is that good for margs or do I need to buy pounds of limes to make something quality?
the glass jar bottles are my go to for batching cocktails, it's usually just pure lime juice :)
you can grill the quesadillas on a half sheet pan on the grill no aluminum foil you can fit 4 on a pan
I bet they have those circle limes in Brazil - so much better.
OMG TRUE
oh thank god
I might just have to pay for the substack to get the Mac and cheese recipe!!!!!!
Meredith!!!!! How do you go about cooking for a group but then maybe one of the people have a dietary restriction?? (vegetarian / vegan / gluten free) without like ~singling them out~
also side note your content is my absolute favorite so thank you for doing this
