They day she died, was the day she was to meet in the studio to re-record it. Once they heard she had died, they were gong to shelf the song, not release it at all, because the refused to profit off it, knowing it would sake mainly because of her passing. That is when they decided to release it and donate 100% to her kids. Very awesome outcome to the worst outcome of trying to re-record the song with her!

I Want to say i read that their manager is one Zoltan of 5FDP and that coupled with the own experiences are a BIG part of their success. On top of this last year when Ivan had his issues and had to be away from the band, Vext stepped in for Ivan With 5FDP on tour pushing them into the eyes of their fan base. Then the decision to release this single has put them in position to hit the ground running.

This song and the original are great. I was a teenager when the two young lads were killed by the terrorist bombings which was the original inspiration for this song. So I grew up in the time of "The Troubles" that was going on, I was always perplexed as to why a nation that claimed to be our greatest ally "The United States of America" was funding and arming our greatest threat "The Irish Republican Army" a domestic terrorism organization.
The songs message is really important, war has rarely ever taken anyone anywhere and as a person interested in history (more specifically WW2) it angers me that we just wont learn, in WW2 Germany slayed millions of Jews and millions of Europeans, wasted millions of german's lives by sensing them to Russia unprepared for winter, the US dropped a nuclear bomb thousands of Japanese people, Russia had thousands walk to their death by trying to invade Finland and here has this gotten us? Germany is a powerful country, Russia hasn't been weakened, Finland lost a bit of land ect, while some countries had changes, on the whole nothing really changed. And i'm not saying "punish Germany, take their land" or anything, but millions died as countries had ambitions to take over the world, and it was just all for nothing in the end. Yet we are still fighting over oil, if a bunch of countries combined to come up with replacements for oil instead of fighting for it then it would better, we have terrorists who suicide bomb at concerts with lots of kids and for what? We need to stop being so self-destructive, we either become friends now, or bleed out later. In the words of Sabaton, "there's no price of a mile".

The songs message is really important, war has rarely ever taken anyone anywhere and as a person interested in history (more specifically WW2) it angers me that we just wont learn, in WW2 Germany slayed millions of Jews and millions of Europeans, wasted millions of german's lives by sensing them to Russia unprepared for winter, the US dropped a nuclear bomb thousands of Japanese people, Russia had thousands walk to their death by trying to invade Finland and here has this gotten us? Germany is a powerful country, Russia hasn't been weakened, Finland lost a bit of land ect, while some countries had changes, on the whole nothing really changed.
And i'm not saying "punish Germany, take their land" or anything, but millions died as countries had ambitions to take over the world, and it was just all for nothing in the end.
Yet we are still fighting over oil, if a bunch of countries combined to come up with replacements for oil instead of fighting for it then it would better, we have terrorists who suicide bomb at concerts with lots of kids and for what?
We need to stop being so self-destructive, we either become friends now, or bleed out later.

You guys are really funny. All songs you listen to here is amazing cool or awesome. Some of them are actually poor if not hopeless just like this cover. Nobody would listen to it but for the original song by Dolores. Where is any kind of objective approach in your reactions? Probably you can't speak your mind as you get the shirts from the bands and wear them only at home as the look so. The younger guy is funny more and i love watching his head banging but the music makes no difference to it. He is in some kind of vicious circle. Lovely stuff. Kind of clinical. Greetings

I am a fan of The Cranberries and I remember when they released Zombie. I still have that cd. When I heard Bad Wolves cover of Zombie on Octane I instantly bought it on ITunes. She will be missed and never forgotten. I will be seeing Bad Wolves with Five Finger Death Punch in Milwaukee in May.
Can anybody answer this? Great song but whether I play song on my phone, car, different home theaters and different apps I hear distortion especially in the first 30 seconds. Why is this? You can hear it in this video. Is it really suppose to sound distorted? When cranking this song it makes it sound bad. Anybody tell me why?

I listened to a mashup of both the original video and the Bad Wolves cover, and it is one of the only videos on RUclips that was ever a direct cause of goosebumps on my part. This updated version of the song, in my view, is not more modern, but it is just as relevant now as it was twenty years ago.
