What was your reason for doing the oil pump?

After almost 100% rebuild, there was still little to no oil pressure. Changing the pump created a lot more oil pressure, but still unsatisfactory end results that costed a block in the end. Now I’m changing the block.

Hes been burning oil for a while. And we thought it was piston rings. The oil pan has rust bad and is starting to seep oil and it flings up on exhaust. Differential bushings in front are bad. We wanna do the differential bushings and oil pan at same time. I thought the oil pump was in the pan. Simple mistake

If the rings are good and it’s burning oil, the other possible cause is valve guides. I also made videos of rebuilding the heads to change the valve guides.

@@cowboyuphi yes it was definitely helpful. We're working on a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee and he already bought the oil pump. And we didn't realize that they were behind the timing chain cover. Thanks a lot that helps us

@@cowboyuphi we have to do the oil pan and front differential bushings. And we're going to do the oil pan right after and I figured that the oil pump was inside the oil pan. Thanks to this video that will help us out and save us time and money
