I compare my anxiety for part 2 to the same as Part 2 of Deathly Hallows (very ironic, since both films are similar in sharing a Key moment) and as the naib says here in the Brazilian fandom, there is no coincidence but synchronicity for you posted a video today when the 6-minute preview was released on RUclips, as always you are to be congratulated on your perfect analysis and research as well as your passion for the saga, with you, sietch is very, very special
Out of all my life, this is the most hyped movie for me ever. Not even Infinity War or Endgame could top it (part 1 wasnt because back then I didnt know what Dune was).
I have a theory for the fight at the end, first baby leto does happen and is killed. I think denis will have the Harkonans raid kill the baby with feyd leading the raid as their is an image of feyd in a sietch in the latest photo releases which is very interesting but it would certainly give the fight at the end personel weight between the characters.
@@Rauruatreides yeah if there is no time jump him causing the loss of Chani's pregnancy will have the same effect on the story, this whole womb thing I am not sold on yet but not because I do not like it but because no time jump means paul takes charge and becomes leader and messiah to the fremen very quickly which will be hard to sell. The lack of time spent on Arrakis in the first movie they arrive and straight away the attack on House Atreides was a little jaring for book readers so must mystery lost. but This is 2-3hr movie making.
@@610vegasTo me, there is no excuse why we can't have a time jump. Especially since there is a literal time jump between the releases of the two films. It's simply way too quick for Paul to learn the Fremen way, form a relationship with Chani, the Fremen to become acclimated to both him and Jessica, Paul forming the Fedykan, the war disrupting spice production and bringing the attention of the spacing guild, the great houses and the Emperor himself etc. I have my issues with Denis' take on the first half, but it worked for the most part. If he changes the story that much, then that would likely make his version of Dune the version I like the least. And I really didn't care for the 84 film.
Surprised by the acceptance of Count Fenring's omission as if it was a given🤔 As far as I'm concerned, his absence from marketing might just as well reflect his role in the movie: . . . . . to show up in the crowd at the end of the movie and catch Paul (and the audience) off guard. His main point (in my view) is that Paul couldn't see his existence at all, throwing a complete curveball to Paul's assurance in his abilities, and that he could defeat Paul and change the ending of his arc right there, but decides not to.
Wouldn't say that his omission is a given, but it's sounding less likely based on what we've seen so far and the movie's runtime. Count Fenring appearing at the end, like you've described, would be perfect for the book-reading audience. For those not familiar with the source material though, how would that concept be conveyed in a brief cameo? With its large cast and already introducing multiple new characters, the movie has a lot to fit into the 2.75 hours. Hopefully you're right though.
@@DuneNewsNet I haven't thought about how they would do it... but now that I'm thinking about it, if there is a moment where Paul believes to have gained ultimate prescience, it could show a montage of visions that he hasn't personally had any involvement... and if that included say 2 instances of Margot Fenring... those visions could be what suddenly gets shown to have Count Fenring in them only after he spots him in person. Probably too convoluted (tho it would make a good point of clearly showing there are still holes in Paul's prescience), but maybe the great minds working on it have more elegant ideas... if they made use of Count Fenring at all of course.
I was so happy to see and hear @Darth_Rachel on this episode. Her perspective were different but pertinent and valid. You guys should consider having a voice like hers as permanent member. As always, I love the show!
Thanks for asking. We have a lot of thoughts about the spoilers and are thinking about if and how we'll discuss them on the show, since some people are trying hard to avoid these. Overall, we're very excited for what's been mentioned about that big cameo and feel its a great choice. On the other hand, some of us are quite concerned about the mentioned changes (e.g. the movie's timeline) and whether this might hurt the story. So yes, if a lot of people are interested, we'll plan for an episode or segment to cover these topics.
We're touching on this in an upcoming show, but it's worth noting that not all IMAX experiences are equal. Some cinemas do a far better job, than others, when it comes to setting up and tuning their audio (and video) systems.
Yes, well over 100 times between the five of us 😂 If you have a different perspective on any of today's topics, please feel welcome to share. This community is open.

The hype for Phantom Menace was pretty insane. We waited in line for 2 hours outside the movie theater for tickets a week before the film was released
@@Ellipsis10 I remember waiting in line for a few days from The Phantom Menace.
I haven't been this hyped for a movie since the first Matrix movie

Great discussion guys. Last year I became completely obsessed with the Dune saga. I can’t wait to see Part 2.
We are soooooo close!!!! 😅 I can taste it!

I agree with that theory
My thought is that the baby isn't born so we don't need to deal with Leto 2 #1 name, but have like a miscarriage caused by the raid.

I saw Dune Part 1 in IMAX. It was so loud the experience was miserable. I don’t know how you people can stand it.

Walken did not fit in. Great actor but poorly cast here.
