Great review Dave! Glad to see him early, just making me more hype for him to come in! Though, I have to respectfully disagree about your ask for the ball waist. This Vulcan buck isn’t even 2 years old, so I feel it's still fairly very new. Legends seems to use the waist cut mostly because it helps maintain a clean sculpt on most super hero suits when in neutral pose. I think adding a ball waist would give Legends the diaper look that most McFarlane figures have. GI Joe seems to get away with the setup because they can hide the awkward cut at the waist that that articulation requires behind more detailed waists/belts, etc., which most spandex super suits don't always have. Personally, I’d rather these clean full body sculpts with the swivel waist, than the McFarlane diaper. Anything more feels like we’re approaching import engineering, but then that also means import pricing. Totally fair to have your opinion on articulation preferences, but I don't think what's being done here is wrong, or even outdated; just different.
Thank you for 5:24 pointing out the disk waist. Its such a problem and the reason I've cut down drastically on Marvel Legends. Lazy Hasbro. The only reason I got this figure is cause of the wings
I remember my old toybiz one I had to throw out due to the heavy wings, they broke! To see hasbro fixed it, is marvelous! And I hear you on the disk waste. It feels older than 2015 too lol
The different masks are based on angel's different looks on different teams. His costume was slightly different on the champions and the defenders than it was on the xmen
Hi Dave... For some reason, the smiling face on your copy is kinda good compared to the smiling face on Dan Who's Angel review. Oh my, I hope I get that good smile Angel when my PO arrives 🤞😑🤞
He looks great, I only have the x-force box set archangel with cromed wings but they're super floppy which is annoying. I have angle on pre order so hopefully will be released soon in UK along with Jean and goblin queen from the x-men '97 line and also the vintage carded scarlet from classified line.
It's wonderful to see you reviewing more Marvel Legends recently. I've missed Dave the reviewer since you moved to Japan. It's how I discovered you years ago. Or was it like that? Hmm...
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour Yeah, I understand. And also, all those sweet Asian- made figures (the former "imports") are cheaper and more easily accessible than in England. I continue to watch a lot of your videos, especially for non-Marvel Legends reviews.
I like, but I don't like vibes with this Warren, I guess the second head could be blue, just to add more 90s Toy Biz Angel style point. I don't know if the waist joint will work here, since he doesn't have a belt, on Jean, and Kang, this works for the belt, but on a clean look like Angel, that could be tricky.
My Toybiz Angel is definitely showing its age, what with loose joint and floppy limbs, so this is a badly-needed update. I only wish one of the alternate heads had blue skin, to reflect when the metal wings molted off but the altered skin color lingered.
Amazing! I still think the old Toybiz Angel wings LOOK (keyword) more impressive, but the fact that these wings are articulated is AWESOME and it more than makes up for it IMO
Sorry man but there is not a single diaphragm joint that WORKS. Not-a-ONE!! Not in Marvel Legends. None of the figures with it can ab crunch AT ALL and half of them can't twist worth a dam like hip rotation does. Give me ab crunch and hip rotation everyday. You want us to pay more for less articulation.
Now we just need a new Iceman
Hopefully he’s in the works!
They gotta borrow body parts from Crystar to make that.
I love the ice man non powered up from the 90s show !
Marvelous Review! If you need some flat white hands for Angel, you can use the ones that came with the Marvel Legends Retro Falcon Action Figure.
Hey good idea!
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour Thanks! 🙂

You won me over with your argument!

Great to see you reviewing Marvel Legends like this! Keep it up bro!
More to come!

Yeah I enjoyed making the deep dive
Love the new look for the reviews! Great as always!

Hey I guess I got lucky
I read this as "Marvel Legends Angry Review" and was like "Where the hell is Angry Joe?"
I might be dyslexic.
lol “Marvel Legends, ya done f$%#ed up!”

Yeah these wings are great
Dave, how tight do the wings stick in the back? Any issues with looseness?
They’re surprisingly tight. Hold their position really well!
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour Awesome! Mine ship tomorrow! Yes! Oh, I'm also emailing you some pics of my new Extreme Set custom work. Enjoy!
Great wings and figure. But the wings are a copy from Hawkman from Mattel DCUC. I have one.

Hey thank to so much. I love reviewing legends. I just can’t access many over here!

Where did you buy your flight stand?
EBay

Yeah that makes a lot of sense
Have they ever had him in his original 60s lee kirby suit?
There was an original team 5 pack many years ago

You probably know this but that Archangel deluxe fig had that type of head you wanted.
Can you remove them and stick them on archangel?
Probably though I don’t have archangel with me
i just bought the Thor Ragnarok, and now i'm seeing this masterpiece. Marvel Legends, please!! slow down!!!!
Lol never slowing down!
What is your backdrop?
It's the Neca street scene diorama
Wow he turned up a lot earlier then I expected
Yeah they’re starting to drop
I feel the same about waste swivel...and at the same time, I can't wait to put this guy on display
He still looks great!
Dave you forgot the title "Feathers are made of bird"
I can’t believe this has happened. Immediately unsubscribed
lol ah man, you’re right. That was a classic!
I think they could have done his hair a little better and with a wash, like make it look more like on the packaging
Yeah that would help
I don't need it. I definitely don't need it. I NEED IT!
Yeah you do! ;)
Next review please the dock ock from the spider man no way home
Is on the list
So sad if only he had cross arm hindgesss someone mod him plzzzzz
That would be an interesting custom
Amazing! I still think the old Toybiz Angel wings LOOK (keyword) more impressive, but the fact that these wings are articulated is AWESOME and it more than makes up for it IMO
Yeah they’re a big win
Chris Jericho might sue you for gimmick infringement ... 🤣
lol he can try!
relaxed hands are way to big like mcfarlane big

How are y’all getting these and I haven’t received my order yet!?!? I want my Angel already ahaha
It was an international import. Had to jump through some hoops!
