How does it compare to the bear from Ponsse in terms of weight, Cran power etc. Just from looking at both of them it looks like the bear is much more compact. It looks like the Rottne H21 is more comparable to Logsets H12 and Tigercats 1165. Because of Tigercats 1185 it looks like the 1185 is way bigger and not comparable to to any other Wheelharvester that is made.

Hi, it´s a good question. i think the bear is a little bit compact as the H21-D, 12H. The 1185 is from the size another world. From the power of the crane and groundstability is the H21-D a little bit in advantage (in my opinion). Both of them (Bear and H21-D) are on his own way a very good machine. With the right driver, both are very fast with his complete system and a matching head. The HSM 405 H4 is the biggest wheelharvester of europe. It has the most powerful crane and it´s the haviest. The machine is very rare - i filmed the first video (If you are interested)

But i have to say some important point: every machine is a very good machine. I like all of them. (Bear, H21, 12H, H4, 1470G, 951, 590F) They have all convinced me. At the end, the service is the most important point. The decision is made here. Best regards

@@forestmachineimpressions Hi, there is a good reason you do not see Harvester from HSM often. There service is terrible. The main reason there service is terrible is because they dont stock spare parts often. They don't stock spare parts because there is no mass production like Ponsse, Logset, Rottne or John Deere (JD have the best service and spare parts network you can get for forestry). Every HSM machine is a little different. They dont have proper spare parts catalogs and even HSM does not always know which part is the right one for your machine. That is the "dark side" of HSM. Therefore HSM have the most personalized machines you can find for the price-performance ratio. When you think I don't know what I'm talking about, just check my profil ;) So now you maybe know why the HSM Harvester is so rare. For a good productivity your harvester should not have much down time and every part should be available in 24, max. 48 hours. Those goals HSM cant match. In Germany even Rottne strugles. But in this case its because of the German representation for Rottne. Some parts you get quicker for your Rottne when you call directly Rottne in Sweden. Sometimes the Ponsse Service can order the broken parts for you better/quicker than Rottne Germany.

@@forestmachineimpressions Are you sure about they ground stability between Rottnes biggest and the Tigercat 1185? There are about 8 (8W Rottne) -10t (6W Rottne) weight difference. Or did I missed you and you talked about 1165 to H21? I agree to you that every manufacture have very good machines and you definitive need a good network of support, because down time is expensive on this machines. But I think that Ponsse have one big advantage: You can choose between two different crane models (for most harvesters). For clearcuts the parallel crane is better and faster, for selective cutting the sliding boom crane is the better choice. Also when you drive the machine by axle to the next location, the c5 and c6 are very compact and the harvester head can be secured by a "slide in" point at the Harvester. No tie down chains like on the C44 or C50 is needed. The nice big cabin is also a big plus only Ponsse have. If you work for 8, 10 or 12 hours you will feel the difference. I came from John Deere to Ponsse and the only thing I really miss is the IBC. Even a very good, experienced driver cant be faster than a "normal" operator with IBC.

@@Husqvarna575XP That was a comparison between the Bear and the H21-D. In my opinion, the H21 is more stable than the Bear. At least it seemed that way to me when filming. i can´t say anything about the 1165 or 1185. I´ve never seen this machine in reality. Ponsse and the Bear is a very perfect harvester, of course.
