Paolo Milani, MD, PhD, Amyloidosis Research and Treatment Center, Pavia, Italy, discusses the primary goals of therapy in light chain (AL) amyloidosis. The main objective is to improve survival by achieving a profound hematologic response. Complete response (CR) and very good partial response (VGPR) are key targets, as they are associated with better survival outcomes. The role of anti-amyloid agents is still under investigation, with ongoing studies expected to provide further insights.
