This album is seriously one of the finest pieces of songwriting I’ve ever heard. Maybe I’m biased since I’m a huge Springsteen fan, and this album pulls a lot of elements from his music. But the stories told and the musicianship on this album is next level. You don’t see people writing this kind of music anymore. Absolutely incredible album, through and through.

This entire album is such a strong return to form for the band I once truly loved. Their last couple albums have been complete letdowns, and I haven’t listened in years. Was super hesitant to give this album a shot, but thank God that I did. This song specifically is one of the most beautiful tunes they’ve ever written. “In the Car Outside,” “In Another Life,” “Cody,” and “Quiet Town,” are all exceptional songs!!
Caution, from Imploding The Mirage, is a real ear worm.

The album that just keeps on growing on me. The lyrics to this one are just spot on.
I moved to the town this whole album is about in the middle of my senior year. My highschool coach and a very crooked cop were trying to frame me for heroin since I refused to play basketball for that shithead of a coach my senior year and it killed his reputation (he was fired a year after I left). so I had to leave my hometown to this town. Moving to this town gave me an incredibly similar feeling that this album portrays. I guess it really hadn't changed much since Brandon flowers left.
Craziest part is, my name is Cody, and I'm sure the town saw me as a trouble maker like his song suggests since I didn't go to church or care to socialize much with locals.
I wish I could convey how special this album is to me since I have alot of memory loss from that time due to a severe concussion and lack of will to remember. But knowing someone else knew almost exactly what I felt and experienced there, put it into music, and went on to live a life of bigger and better things gives me great happiness and hope.

I cannot stop listening to Pressure Machine. The first couple times listening to the song, when Flowers runs up the falsetto, it brought tears to my eyes. I am not sure why. There is an honesty and beauty there that is so compelling.
You’re not the only one, friend. The emotion in his tone is awe inspiring. As soon as I heard the falsetto for the first time I instantly knew this would be one of my favorites, if not my overall, favorite song of theirs. Absolutely gorgeous!

Referred by Coldplay and not disappointed at all , going to my playlist after when we were young which is a song that I love that makes me feel nostalgic too. My 6 years all tells me that when we were young makes him feel like dropping some tears, makes me feel that too.
