What I like from this version is how they took the concept of the original song being about addiction, but shifting it into an environmental angle and how Greed and addiction to mining recourses to the point of ruining the earth for future generations.
Yes! 1st! Lol I love these guys. Not only are the instruments and the vocals different, but it's in Mongolian which has a different cadence. Yes 8.7! Great reaction!
Everything in planning the HU incorporates the four powers of Mother Earth. Gala with the blue instrument represents water. Jaya flute represents wind, his color is yellow. Tempkas green guitar is earth. Enkush has red fiddle which is fire. There is new song. Mother Earth.
I totally guessed you were going to say 8.7 lol I felt the same, Great cover and the key change was so cool. Great reaction to something I don't think everyone will get but for sure you do. Keep on Rockin my friend best always from NYC
I don't know what they were saying either, but I really like this version of sad but true, and imo The HU are one of the best on the Blacklist. Great score and analysis !
I would agree with you 10000% This version is way beyond better than the original. However, I am very biased as I HATE HATE HATE HATE the black album. Off the top of my head the only ones I listen to off that album is My Friend of Misery, and Of Wolf and Man. This was a delight from start to finish, enjoyed every change, and would listen to this on repeat. The vocals were amazing and for the tone of the song perfectly. I also agree with listening to Rammstein in English....TERRIBLE! A nice little factoid about that; Till changed some of the lyrics of the english version to make it "fit" better. Which I feel is such a travesty but I get why. Not all German lyrics translate well over to english. I perfect example would be Sehnsucht (ZenZookt), "longing", "desire", "yearning", or "craving". Some psychologists use the word to represent thoughts and feelings about all facets of life that are unfinished or imperfect, paired with a yearning for ideal alternative experiences.". It's closest literal translation would be nostalgia.
I was a bit skeptical at first at the beginning when I first heard this. But after a bit, I got used to it and actually enjoyed their native way of doing the song. Have you done Volbeat's cover for the Blacklist album yet? "Don't Tread On Me" It just gets me to ALMOST headbanging, *almost* cuz I can't do it anymore. ha
I love the Hu. I saw them a couple years ago at a small club, tickets were $20.00. I won't be paying $20.00 next time I see them. I love Wolf Totem. I have always liked Metallica, I think the Hu do this song better than Metallica. The Hu is very primal. My favorite part I think is the ending, over the credits.
Wow! Very interesting. Like you, I did enjoy the tuning as well. Are they singing in Chinese? Honest question because I really don’t know. (It almost sounds like it could be German… 🤷🏻♂️) I do think that this version is a bit slower than the original.
They saw that it was not Metallica, and there was no need to listen. And for some reason you listened, and then left a skeptical note. So they would have written that they didn’t like it.

Just saw them live in San Francisco, and they closed their encore with this song. What a great show overall.
Love these guys because of their use of traditional instruments and throat singing, they rock.
It’s cool that these guys are making it internationally
Yes! 1st! Lol I love these guys. Not only are the instruments and the vocals different, but it's in Mongolian which has a different cadence. Yes 8.7! Great reaction!
Just saw them last night in Canada. They bring it live. They totally crushed it.
Love this band. Great reaction

So happy to see you react to this one

I love The Hu. There is another song that is really good IMHO. . . . a Woman's song...FT Lzzy Hale. I think you will like it.
......keeeeeeeep watching.....all I can say....
The HU made one more metallica cover "through the never" . please react to this song
I saw them in June and they did a cover of Through the never. It was awesome
Yesterday you did Nightwish (it’s like you knew it was my birthday!) and today The Hu? I feel like I’m getting birthday gifts here, dude.
FEELIN' YOU Carolina!!! Glad to hear you're enjoying the show, and Happy Birthday To YOU!!! C'MON NOW!!!
Great reaction and very very good analysis
Apparently this cover got the Metallica seal of approval.

One of those covers that are better than the original

Nice cover
I dont know if this has been requested yet but I'd love to hear your review of the studio version of 'Walkabout' by the Red Hot Chili Peppers :)
All of one hot minute track by track 😅
Jinjer - Pisces (live session) is waiting for your reaction.
It's coming.....it's coming.....

The cover is probably in Mongolian
@@monluztrella it would make sense that it would be. Lol but I swear it sounds German also. 😂
@@ianfranks541 Let's face it, it sounds Klingon.
Singing in mongolian.
It was ok
I loved your Ghost Town reaction can you pls listen to Mid by Teezo Touchdown and I’m just a Fan by him thank you so much 🙏🏽
Ok to be honest, I just came here because I saw the name Metallica.
