If a man keeps chickens for eggs then it is naturally, his responsibility to cement the coup floor so the fox can't burrow. And since when were foxes a menace to the world? PETA argument here isn't wrong it's just poorly presented. Jennifer should have hit the idea that the eu has been around for 50years has little pomp or ceremony. However, Nigel's knows it's wrong. Can Nigel explain how fox hunting on horses is effective? She lost this debate on the idea they peta simply want to stop honest fun? You can't win that argument
You say that hunting on horseback is not effective. Think about what your own words mean. The one truly effective fox control would be to lay poison, possibly strychnine, which kills everything living, and with certainty: I believe that death from strychnine is both painful and wretched: we give it to rats and mice, stoats, weasels, hedgehogs, crows - and to the cats and dogs that accidentally come across it.
I see idealistic young - and not so young - people being used by cynical political groups to fight an imaginary class war against people about whom they know nothing. @@DEUSVULTEAM First, that’s not what I was referring to, in this instance, in regards to rudeness. It was Nigel talking over the young ladies answers, and interrupting her answers. During this conversation a Fox was killed by a Hunt with hounds in Hertfordshire while trial hunting, the hunt phoned the police to 'report an incident' and offered to 'help with enquiries'. Now more people will run around organising a prosecution, appear in court with lawyers and barristers and even more costumes and uniforms to watch drone and camera footage of a dead Fox killed by a pack of hounds, no Hen House, crazy driver or dog walker will get mentioned because there weren't any involved, just a Hunt breaking the law and a phone call to prove it 1 minute before it could be stopped by others ... or 2 minutes before it could have been stopped by the hunt or 17 years before it should have been stopped by an act of parliament. Seems odd all those well fed wealthy men and women, pack of hounds, horses, fanfare, uniforms and bush whackers (literally) against a slim and delicate beautiful little creature that minds it's own business and stays out of everyone's way? how annoying is that for every foul mouthed nasty nut job on horseback who can't do the same because a torn apart bloody mess makes it all worth while? that'd be a physiological disorder wouldn't it, a 500 year old one. last year it was a man in his wife's kimono after putting food in his bin .. kind of proves the point.

Martin is confused.I wonder if he even watched the clip. Anyine who does not want to see an animal torn apart is a do gooder in clueless Carpenters eyes. Pathetic.
PETA are absolutely clueless regarding the interaction of humans with the animal world. I does not really matter what you might think of fox hunting, shooting and fishing. If you take all that away, expect the countryside to disappear. The only reason the rivers are clean (compared to the 60's and 70's) now is because of the pressure put on the authorities and the money generated as a result by the angling associations. Hunters and anglers understand their respective habitats in a way a mindless PETA activist cannot. However, bad times are ahead. Over the last two decades, anglers have had less and less input into the upkeep of the waterways. I am sure I am not the only one to notice that the decline of the rivers over those two decades. That silly girl was not even born when the rivers were at their peak for flow, cleanliness and diversity of life.
Fox numbers do not need controlling. They live in their own, diminishing habitat. If farmer's are worried for their hens, and they are capable of organising a hunt, then you would think they are capable enough to make a hen compound sufficient enough to protect the hens inside from the foxes, would you not? At the expense of the life of another being and that for dated reasons in the name of "tradition" or "heritage", hunting is barbaric. Farage, I'm surprised and saddened that you gravitate towards pro hunting. In saying that, I'm prepared to meet you half way: There are *too many dumb and poor* people, breeding like rats and as I see it, their population requires controlling. I propose to you we *dress them up as foxes*, and *give the fat ones a 5 minute headstart* . In keeping with your love for tradition we could bring back *lynching* and the *ducking chair* to get the crowd in the mood, and instead of shooting birds, we could shoot the one's that get away. Commercialise it? Sponsored by *Lucozade* or perhaps *Nesquick* - anything that relates to running! Perhaps *Specsavers* for the shooting portion of the show?
People don't need to go hunting for food any more. It's all available in Tesco or Asda or wherever. People go hunting now because they get pleasure out of killing and seeing animals suffer.
No they get the pleasure from the hunt. One of the the very first things humans celbrated through artistic depiction. If it was simply the killing they could volunteer at the local abbatoir. If you eat meat you have no right to be against hunting for food

Love Nigel but he”s on the wrong side of this one .
Why?
Only city dwellers take this position. Do you appreciate the livestock foxes eat and torture?
@@patherl1 they breed them to hunt, you pro hunters really think you can dress your actions up to justify them.
Just be honest you just enjoy torturing and killing defenceless animals, what kind of lives do you people lead if that’s how you get your kicks.
Extreme on both sides ! I’m a small holder and pests need to be controlled. There is no place in today’s world for fox hunting by horse & with dogs. They do it where I live and most of the land owners detest them. It’s barbaric. Any farmer or landowner can either shoot or get someone to shoot the pest humanly with the technology we have. I have night vision and the foxes rabbits and rats don’t know a thing 1 headshot done ! Painless & instant. Unlike my livestock being eaten alive ! Ban the horse and hounds completely there’s no need for it ! Tell em all to take up dressage instead !
Exactly. We need to change the term from "fox hunting" to "blood sport" to highlight the difference between hunting for food and hunting for a perverse form of entertainment. The proponents of this blood sport love to claim that opponents to it "don't understand the country," but it's them who don't understand the difference between quick and efficient pest eradication out of necessity and the ritualistic practices in fox hunting parties.
Absolutely couldn’t agree more!
I ran an animal rescue centre and belonged to an animal rights group the group had a load of videos of the hunt and the kill.
It was watching the videos that changed my mind about fox hunting the kill in each video showed 3 to 4 seconds and the fox was in several pieces.
I have also seen foxes that have been shot that take days or even weeks to die either of the wound or starve as they could not feed themselves.
The quickest way is with the hounds?
But maybe you prefer the fox to suffer?
Murdering lettuces is your thing? As they cut lettuce the next row scream t is all up there on the web if you look?
Most landowners allow hunts on their land, so please be honest!
Nigel I'm usually your biggest fan but on this issue you have completely missed the point. I'll make a statement for you! These people do not do this sport to have revenge foe chickens in a shed. That is a ridiculous argument. They do it because they enjoy it and if you enjoy watching an animal be ripped to pieces then you really have some serious mental health issues and are the kind of barbaric disgusting people I would never leave near my kids. I live on a farm and I've had these idiots trash my fences where my livestock been put in danger and they still kill foxes. If you think they don't Nigel then you seriously need a wake up call. Please tell me of you support and enjoy this cruelty and be honest so I can decide whether or not watch your programmes again which would be a shame because I agree with a hell of a lot of what you stand for but e joking watching a beautiful animal be torn to shreds is just vile. That's up there with some of the sickest most disturbing individuals we have on the planet. Trail/fox hunters are scum

I'm not a vegan or even a vegetarian, but I recognise my own 'cognitive dissonance' (some would say hypocrisy) on this.
It is Unfortunate that animal cruelty does exist before death as we all know. I am a meat eater myself and I always hope that the animal involved was slaughtered in the kindest possible way. That is something that should be strictly monitored no matter the animal.
You are not a hypocrite because it is beyond your control or knowledge. And yes cancel culture is also damaging our vital history and science.
It is high time that this cruel practice be stopped in Britain!
I thought it was banned but it seems the toffs have found a loophole in the law

You can't compare a fox seeking a chicken with a human barbarically goading a pack of hounds to seek and destroy for their upper-class traditional snobbery. If a man keeps chickens for eggs then it is naturally, his responsibility to cement the coup floor so the fox can't burrow. And since when were foxes a menace to the world? They are beautiful and no less deserving of food than you or I. Period.
Remember that we are all members of a minority somewhere in our lives. Take away somebody else's freedom - and you risk having your own taken away too.
Nigel, rudeness is absolutely uncalled for in a debate! Thank you PETA for banning Fox hunting on National lands!
You hate animals clearly. So rude to ask her if she’s been into a chicken coop after a fox has gone in there.
love nigel , but he s wrong this time
@@DEUSVULTEAM First, that’s not what I was referring to, in this instance, in regards to rudeness. It was Nigel talking over the young ladies answers, and interrupting her answers. Second, in a debate, personal attacks, like yours, “You hate animals clearly,” are used when a debater (in this instance, you) does not have valid information to refute the claims of the person( s) that is being debated. The young lady representing PETA was correct in that this question had nothing to do with Fox Hunting. Finally, Fox Trail Hunting has not been banned on private property, nor has shooting a Fox that has been killing one’s chickens.

At the expense of the life of another being and that for dated reasons in the name of "tradition" or "heritage", hunting is barbaric.
