    Very well explained and helpful. But, for those without network connection and localizing with a base and rover, how do you start the base? Just leave it to run autonomous? And Magnet wisely only allows us to store points when with fixed solutions -- will the base radio running autonomous provide fixed solutions for recording the pseudo point coords?
    Perhaps a video showing localization for non-network applications would be helpful? Thanks again - you explain stuff very well! Dave

      Very similar to the above methods in the video but you need to set the base up over a known point (level and plumb) connect to the base (bluetooth), go into localization and select the known point you are on, and then measure a point, since the rover is not connected yet it will record this point using the base (rod height will be the height of your setup). After this point is recorded, go into setup base and launch it with your localized point, now you are setup on that point and can continue to follow the instructions in the video to finish your localization. Hope this helps, this is how I have localized on design jobs with control points given to me from client that are in local coordinates using magnet field

    I have the same data collector and when I do locolization none of the elevation that I add.. none will measure the elevation that I gave?

      I did four córner localización and when I stand on each point none of the point gives me the elevation that I gave ?? Why . And the BM that surveyor gave me.. I’ll stand on top of it and it will not measure that given elevation!!! Am kind of lost

      @@956mendez86 Strange. Localization will read your 3D posiiton and it should read the elevation too, obviously. Unless you uncheck "use Vertical" when localizing!

    Can you add localization points after you have started working on a project to increase accuracy?

    • @DiCarloTV
      @DiCarloTV  4 месяца назад

      @@dan__________________ Yes you can. Even though it is not best practice as you'll have to reprocess everything collected prior to the new point added. Typically do localization first, reach a point where you're happy with it and only then start your actual data collection or layout work.

    how do i remove an erroneous localization file? I want to revert back to SPC?

      I wouldn't remove the file. I would start a new job, which would not have the reference to the erroneous localization.
