    Trev is a genius, a most innovative mind in the world of guitars. This Convertible system gathers the best of both worlds, without the limitations of the Tremol-No -already brilliant solution - which does not allow pulling up when blocking the trem. This CV is surely the most flexible solution, where you can go from fixed to full trem without having to reset or renouncing to going upwards with the trem arm. Just perfect ! 👍🏻🎸👌🏻🥇

    I have a Godin Artisan st from 1992 with a Godin convertible trem but I can't set it up to work. It seems incredibly complicated. I don't know if I am suppose to tighten or loosen some of the collars/parts or at what angle I am supposed to tighten the collars for it to work. Everytime I drop the arm down to resting position the arm unscrews itself and becomes loose. Also it doesn't seem to stick properly in the resepticle on the back, but I think it has to do with the angle of the collars?! It's driving me crazy. Have been working on it for hours. And yes the bridge plate is completely flat to the board and balance between string and spring tention. Please help

    I was floored when I saw this video after recently buying a VS100N for my new build and had to do some research...
    You have to buy the conversion kit AND the VS100N bridge to get this functionality...total cost is ~400 USD! Then you have to figure out if it will fit your guitar with or without modification.
    The reason Wilkinson doesn’t sell this as a one off these days is due to a stupid lawsuit from Gibson back in the 80s which claimed Trevor violated one of their patents.
    Hope that helps anyone.

I struggle to get the seat in the right spot and the depth of the arm to sit into the seat for the locked position of the trem, then the orientation of the slanted collar. if you could show us how you set this git up I woudl be ever grateful. And nice playing too mate! cheers from AUS

      @Samuelclees  2 года назад +2

      Hi mate I will have a word with Trev as we are currently making many videos for the wilkinson products and I think this will be a good shout my friend . I think you can alter the arm height via a small grub screw in the collar that will also let you orientate the arm to its locking point as for the seat there should be a nut that will help you line it up as well . This really is a short answer but hope it helps

  • @skydogstudio
    @skydogstudio Год назад

    you can't get this bridge in the US you'd have to have someone in canada or something buy it have it shipped to them ughhh and they are expensive! My solution was a standard VS100N along with a tremsetter installed in the spring cavity. This gives a counterbalance to the strings so you can do pedal steel bends and the lighter gauge strings won't change pitch. The only thing you can't do is hit a pedal E string and bend a G string the E string will drop a bit but life is tough.

      @@Samuelclees Thanks for your kind reply, Sam. Is it necessary to use a thick steel (unbendable) tremolo spring cavity backplate - so the little "cup" on it that receives the stem of the tremolo arm stays put - or in one place? I'm thinking it has to, in order for the stem to return perfectly in that cup...otherwise the tremolo will be slightly out of tune in the locked position - is what I guessing?
