I feel like almost no one talks about Daruk's theme, and I think it deserves more recognition for how unexpectedly bittersweet it sounds. Well, to be honest, all four champion themes sound kinda bittersweet (perhaps Mipha's the most). Prolly because they're all dead or something
Daruk is this big strong marshmallow. A Fighter and a Father. I think people forget that. He has big strong arms to hug you with, and will smash in the face Ganon to protec all his little buddies.
Short little essay or something idk, but hear me out: I feel like everyone loves all the other champions so much because they don't think to dig deeper into how Revali might feel. He's a seasoned warrior, wielding nothing but his bow and arrows and his ability that he didn't even *earn.* He made it. From pure will and determination, he essentially made his own power while the others were either given it or born with it. It's also good to state that Revali isn't the leader of his tribe. He's a warrior and the others are leaders. Seasoned leaders. People believe Revali was very young, possibly younger than twenty but not by much. I believe Revali was cocky and prideful because that's how he grew up. He doesn't feel like he deserved to be cocky, but because he can be. Because if he doesn't build himself up or find some way to try and convince himself that he is good then he falls behind the others. He falls behind Link. He must be VERY hard on himself, pushing himself because lord knows if he doesn't then he will be so much less than everyone else. I believe Revali has to boost himself up because he feels like he is the worst out of everyone and he has to make up for lost ground. This is the main reason why I think Revali is the MOST relatable out of all the champions. He's hard on himself, always finding a way that he could improve instead of stopping and saying that him being the champion is enough. He believes there is still more to unlock. There MUST be something he can do to get stronger. No matter what he does, it'll NEVER be enough. The others still have something above him and that's their powers. Something he knows he most likely can't compete with. What else CAN he do? I imagine Revali has a lot of days like we do. We cry, we scream, we break down and have attacks because we know it'll never be enough. In our minds, we will always have to work on something because someone else is doing better and we are still struggling. We have to convince ourselves that we CAN do this. We just have to try harder. I think Revali has these days because of the simple reason, he's not a gerudo chief with the power of lightning at her fingertips. He's not a goron with the ability to have a shield wherever he goes, knowing he'll be safe from what attacks him. He's not a zora who can heal those and himself. He's just Revali. A rito warrior who can only do the best he can to get by. Because he's only that. A champion with the drive to destroy whatever is in front of him. A will to carry out whatever he sets his mind to. A heart of gold that is missed because he thinks he has to compensate for something. I love Revali because of this. Because he reflects me. How I feel about everyday. I fight and fight and it can get easier or harder. But I push myself because I KNOW I can do better. I know I can be better. It's just digging deep to find it. Revali is so much more relatable and an icon. I just think he doesn't enough credit because people don't like to explore into a character and instead just say he's a dick and move on. It's sad because Revali must hide a lot of things because he thinks he'll be made fun of for it. He must internalize a lot of his emotions.
yes i definitely agree i've been thinking this ever since i met him; especially after fighting Vah Medoh it seemed that he had more he wanted to say to Link but bit back.
@@RandomFBIguy The thing we like about characters but not irl is that we have this dramatic irony where we know or understand where characters are going through if we look into their perspectives, but it's much harder to do the same for real people. I second that. Also, maybe I'm just desperate to hear it, but was that a heroic version of Mipha's theme (as opposed to the usual sad variant of her theme)? Each of those was legendary. Good work yet again!
@@katedp7825 no, well kinda, but what they did was change the tonality from E to B (which makes it sound happier) Fun fact: E is also known as Mi, making the start of Mipha’s theme Mi-Fa (Mipha), and B is Si, making Sidon’s start with Si-Do (Sidon). If that’s not evidence that the Botw soundtrack is a masterpiece I don’t know what is!
I feel like they all encapsulate the Champions so well. Mipha's is soft and bittersweet and it shows how graceful she is. Urbosa's is strong but still gentle to show off her relationship with Zelda and the rest of the Champions. Daruk's is strong and not harsh but still hard and then it slows to show his softer side. And Revali. It shows how prideful he is while still showing his emotion. He is probably the most lonely out of all of them. It also goes with their homes. I love this medley.
I know everyone loves Mipha’s theme and they’re all beautiful but there’s something about Daruk’s theme that just hits different for me. I have a big soft spot for Gorons. This arrangement is beautiful, I listen to it so often.
This made me remember why Revali’s them is my favorite. I’m on the train to Nijmegen and I’m literally crying. I think it's because Revali's theme gives this sense of freedom, but intense loneliness. He, alone, has tamed the wind to help him master the sky. It's that mastery which makes him the greatest of the Rito. But, when you alone master the sky and achieve true freedom, it gets really lonely when you have no one to share the clouds with. No one else can perform his Gale, and while that gives him a sense of pride, that he's done the impossible, Revali can't shake that feeling that he's alone. And he feels lie he shouldn't be. So he hides, the loneliness cloaked by freedom and arrogance, pushing people away, to a lower standard, when all he wants is an equal.
@@maxbaker7841 I feel that Revali does care for the champions on the inside. If something bad happened to them he would be sad and be concerned. Completely underrated character

my ears are the happiest they’ve ever been! :D and i’m crying because this is so good and i always cry during the champion’s ballad theme because like they’re dead
I know lots of people find these songs sad and emotional. However I find them very happy and positive. Link saved them from 100 years of loneliness and saved them from being trapped forever. Although it's sad they weren't able to win at the beginning and may feel like they failed, they get to contribute and help link with their divine beast and watch him save hyrule and see the happy ending.
But they died and link can’t stop grieving over it. They are happy that they are free and want Link to be happy, but he can’t. The imagery of they’re deaths. Only a legacy left behind; unable to have a conversation with them, unable to laugh with them and unable to further his bond with them, Link is sad. He is lonely too. No friends, no people who know what he did. Thrown into a world unknown to him. The first man he meets. His first friend, puts him into an adventure and disappears. He thought he had the warmth and security of the old man but not anymore. He travels where he needs to go and the more memories he gets the more lonely he feels. He remembers the fun times and his happiness with his friends only to find that they are dead and never to be seen again. Every Zelda game (3D) had a sidekick, whether it be a fairy an imp or a living thing inside a sword. But the only ‘sidekick’ you get in Botw is a slate. A voiceless, empty slate. No one to help you traverse the lands, attack enemies or help you heal other than the glimpses of the champions when their ability is used. Not being able to converse with them or thank them, they say the same thing every time only for a few seconds before disappearing just as quickly as they appeared. Link is lonely, by himself with no friends no family but only the memories of those who have passed. (Btw I think that ‘Deathly loneliness / 猛毒が襲う’ is a song that shows this… theory I guess
The emotions I feel listening to this... I like to imagine that it's what Link feels throughout his journey, learning and remembering more about his friends.

This one I know is a bit of an exception, being that you’ve released these song in collections in the past, but still I enjoy the little editors edits that you throw in there to give it your own touch. This just proves how much more space I have to grow even after playing for 9 years.
This is incredible. Just about cried when I got to my favorite Champion and character. Revali. Everything is so great and perfect!!! Once I learn how to play piano, this will be the first thing I play. This is so beautiful.
I wouldn't recommend starting with this i know a few simple songs and this basically just told me "you have no talent whatsoever" but you can try it but that doesn't mean it isn't the most beautiful song i have ever heard
I think the Champions' themes are some of the best of the BotW soundtrack, Revali's being my favourite, but I love how they all beautifully capture the Champions in their own ways. The Champions' Ballad definitely has a special place in my heart. Thank you for making this gorgeous arrangement--it makes me so happy to be able to play it for myself!
You have an incredible ability to translate these themes with perfect synchronicity. It really makes us relive the moments we experienced in this world. Thank you so much for that 💙 Tremendous job!! ✨
All these songs represent the champions personalities. Daruk:Energetic and playfull Urbosa:Calm and brave Mipha:Caring and nice Revali:Skillfull and classical
I can't get enough of this channel's music! Each track is a masterpiece that captures the essence of the game it's inspired by. Truly talented artists!😜
I love the soundtrack. Its really breath taking. It and age of calamity have the most beautiful music. And i actually almost cried when i saw sidon and mipha side by side together because knowing he hasnt seen her since he was young.
this was so beautiful!! the music is so nostalgic and bittersweet and you played it so well, I nearly cried at some points T^T I love this game so much lol.
At first Ravali was my favorite just because of how funny his cockiness was, but also how mutual he was as well, and because I feel like there is more to him than meets the eye. However, after seeing Urbosa and her entire character, she totally won me over, along with her song.
My favorite themes are Mipha's and Revali's ones. Mipha for its tenderness tune and Revali due to carrying small portion of the Rito Village on it which is inspired on Wind Waker's Dragon Roost Island theme.
THE BEST SONGS to remember again SO BEATIFUL GAME. ---THANK YOU SO MUCH Everytime that I see your videos they motivate me to continue play the piano AND LEARN A LOT. (THANKS FOR THE SHEETS OF THE SONGS :)

I try to focus on the inherent joy of making music and sharing it with all of you as much as I can instead of becoming frustrated, and most of the time I succeed!
Mipha’s theme was the one that made me emotional. What a tragic story encapsulated by one of the most beautiful songs in all of zelda

Thanks Silena =) . The individual arrangements I linked to in the description are a tad more accurate, as I've taken some liberties here in the medley.
The mashup part was a lot of fun to construct! =D
I've never been closer to tears in my life when listening to the champions ballard
Dude the transistion from mipha to revali was SO smooth!
You put all the champion themes so beautifully that I was speechless after hearing it. Keep up the good work man.
I love your talent to bits❤❤❤❤
Thanks for listening! =D
@@demantim :D
Dang! That ballad gave me the feels! I rlly loved how you incorporated all of them together... I could hear each and every one! 😭💕
I just can't stop rewatching this. All the champion's themes are amazing, and being on piano makes them better somehow.
May the souls of the champions who watch over Hyrule rest in peace.
This is still unbelievably incredible, the performance, the skill and the written themes.
Now I know what people mean when they say music can bring out all kinds of emotions, Zelda music really hits different.
Truly, you never cease to amaze. The fact that you release these arrangements within weeks of each other is quite a feat, that is assuming that you haven’t been working on them for a longer time. This one I know is a bit of an exception, being that you’ve released these song in collections in the past, but still I enjoy the little editors edits that you throw in there to give it your own touch. This just proves how much more space I have to grow even after playing for 9 years.
Hey Luigi, I'm glad to motivate your piano playing =) . Slow and steady does it!
Revali’s reminds me so much of ghibli music, it’s so beautiful!
My favoritest of the favorites! I love all these themes SO MUCH.
This was the most beautiful Breath of the Wild arrangement that I’ve heard yet. Thank you.
I'm learning Revali's first cause that's the one I had originally loved, and then Mipha's cause it's absolutley amazing :)
best day ever
Thanks Peter =) .
You have an incredible ability to translate these themes with perfect synchronicity.
It really makes us relive the moments we experienced in this world. Thank you so much for that 💙
Tremendous job!! ✨
Glad you like it, Karine =) .
Omg this is so amazing!!! I love the part where the Champion’s themes get mixed into the Champions Ballad! Very nice work! Geep going!!! 🎹 🎶
Will do, Falicio!
the amount of times i watched this and im still not tired of it shows how amazing this music is, still brings tears to my eyes when i listen to it
thank you. now im going to listen to that every morning to give me the motivation to go in class
All these songs represent the champions personalities.
Daruk:Energetic and playfull
Urbosa:Calm and brave
Mipha:Caring and nice
Revali:Skillfull and classical
Such a beautiful arrangement, I love how you blended those themes together and I will come back to your video for months to come. Thank you.
Thanks Carsten
that little mini medley at the end for the champions ballad blew my mind! wonderful work as always!
Thanks! =D
素敵なメロディをありがとうございます!
英傑達それぞれのメロディだけだと思っていたら英傑達の詩(しかもそれぞれの英傑のメロディをアレンジして追加している)まで聴けるとは思いませんでした
チェッキー!
Checkyyyy! :D
Who else started to get emotional towards the end of the Champions' Ballad.
Help I forgot I commented this a year ago
*cri*
*raises hand while sobbing*
Quand je réécoute ces musique j’ai de la nostalgie pour Zelda breath of the wild
I can't get enough of this channel's music! Each track is a masterpiece that captures the essence of the game it's inspired by. Truly talented artists!😜
Bridge and Solo was a great way to finish this!! I have been watching all your Breathe of the Wild covers and they are the best. Thank you for sharing
Thanks Christopher, glad you like my work =) .
Try not to cry challenge. I have too many memories of this game and dug to deep into its lore. This was lovely!
when the Champion’s Ballad theme starts I start to cry for no reason, while learning this on piano .. but overall a great piece.😭
That probably ends up in slippery piano keys :P .
You still manage to bring me joy
Glad to hear that, Link =) .
Mipha and Revali's Theme are sooooooooooo goood ! 💕😭🥺
Now imagine playing this in front of the voice actors and theme freaking out when they part come up
it's one of the most beautiful things I've listened to
I love the soundtrack. Its really breath taking. It and age of calamity have the most beautiful music. And i actually almost cried when i saw sidon and mipha side by side together because knowing he hasnt seen her since he was young.
I got the chills, this was very calming thank you
These songs hit home all the time the beat of it just tells you a story
The sentence of Kashiwa at the end of the Dlc The Ballad of the Warriors May the souls of the warriors rest in peace Made me cry so much. 😭❤️
this was so beautiful!! the music is so nostalgic and bittersweet and you played it so well, I nearly cried at some points T^T I love this game so much lol.
This is the Best music of Zelda
My favorite piece is definitely Revali's theme X( something about it is just so beautiful and encompasses his character and his characters story arc
For me as well, I often spontaneously start humming Revali's theme =) .
Mipha's is the best
Champions Ballad
Revali
Then Urbosa
and then Daruk
it’s so difficult to rank them because they’re all so amazing that’s the problem
@@lolokay8887 yeah
At first Ravali was my favorite just because of how funny his cockiness was, but also how mutual he was as well, and because I feel like there is more to him than meets the eye. However, after seeing Urbosa and her entire character, she totally won me over, along with her song.
i still cry whenever i hear the champions ballad theme.
My favorite themes are Mipha's and Revali's ones. Mipha for its tenderness tune and Revali due to carrying small portion of the Rito Village on it which is inspired on Wind Waker's Dragon Roost Island theme.
Thank u, u have awaken all the memories of the travel across Hyrule i have do in BOTW, that was fantastic and emotional
The most emotional medley I have ever heard
Thank you for making my day
This is just great. I'm speechless
They are all so beautiful
THE BEST SONGS to remember again SO BEATIFUL GAME.
---THANK YOU SO MUCH
Everytime that I see your videos they motivate me to continue play the piano AND LEARN A LOT.

My fave music is Revali's theme. It really pays back for us hating but makes us love him. It's a love hate realationship.
This was beautiful! I even practiced the urbosa’s theme song on piano!!!
Your the best this is amazing!
Tim this is a beautiful arrangement. I can't believe I've never seen this before.
Thank you for making the sheet music free I love this piece

The 20 dislikes are just some yigas
And the 21 is koga
What about all the blights and ganon?
@@christianquirion526 the rest of them obviously
Ganon is the first dislike and the blights are the next 4
the rest are just the people crying too hard they can’t see the like button
@@pasta_eeee LMFAO YEAH
5:09 one of the most beautiful song that I alreary heard, with all the others of course
I love the ballad of champions, my favorite champion is Revali
Same!
This is great! You deserve more subscribers:D
Thanks Maggie =) . It's weird sometimes to see other pianists with less production value, upload frequency and arrangement quality get a ten-fold more views than I do. I try to focus on the inherent joy of making music and sharing it with all of you as much as I can instead of becoming frustrated, and most of the time I succeed!
