i printed your first lockbox as soon as i finished building my DIY 3d printer , my printer had a bad z screw that made a thicker layer every 10 to 12 layers ,so i ended up with a cool hexagonal box that had a line every 10 to 12 layers , it was unintentionally super cool ..... fixed the printer later and that particular box is still lives on my night stand today im definitely printing the new box as a gift for someone , but the cool box stays with me !! thx for all your hard work man
Hey 3d Printy, i was thinking about printing your Twist Lock Present to use as a gift box for 3d printed things for my family, and i was wondering if you could maybe remix them into being just a lift up box? Thanks for reading!
That a great idea! It'll be a bit before I have the print time to test print the model, but if you email your request to me (email address is in the channel "About" tab) I can send you the STLs for a standard lid.
@@3DPrintyHey there, I can't find your email in the about section, all that's there is like your links for Printables and Thingiverse Edit: Also could you make it where the toppers still work? Maybe they just screw into the whole or something? I just want the toppers to still work since I like the bow part. Thanks!
An impressively elegant interlocking design! Anything that helps avoid gluing one's fingers together, ha.
Thank you! It could have been printed in a single part, but there would have been a LOT of supports... and I consider that even worse than glue.
Awesome boxes, thanks!
thats awesome

Printer error serendipity! It's nice to hear that an old design remained a treasured print for so long.
Good luck with your photo box print :)
Thats cool!
Great update to an already great design! I look forward to printing a few for gifts this Christmas.

Dude! Stop reading my mind. LOL I only just now discovered the amazing lithophanes!
They're great! I plan to convert one of these into a lithophane night light for the nephew :)
Another keeper.
