- The family of Tyre Nichols, a man who died days after a traffic stop in Memphis earlier this month, and attorney Ben Crump held a news conference on Monday after viewing video footage of his arrest. Five Memphis police officers who were involved in the arrest were fired, the department announced Friday.

Well this obviously isn't a race issue this time. When all officers are fired immediately, that video is probably going to be ugly. As someone who lived for decades in the Memphis area, this actually surprised me
What sticks out to me is normally its they are on admin leave w pay. Why is it not that way with this case? They of course should have been fired immediately but I question what is the difference?

It is a race issue. It’s how police officers treat black men. You don’t hear of white kids being beaten to death from a simple traffic stop or if a car broke down.
They will blame white officers anyway probably say they were using esp to control the other officers

@@ButterCookie1984 Humanizing and memorializing does appeal to the emotions, as it should. It also gives a narrative of a person you have never met. If it is making you emotional it's okay to cry.

By the way his mother is behaving at such a terrible time, I know Tyre had to of been a sweet person. Tyre, Tyre, oh my God, that should have not happened, it should never happen.
