0:05 - Pilots (players) being retarded, and doing maneuvers that don't make any sense. [The corsair clearly goes below the camera, yet, the BF-109 tailing him goes up instead of finishing the job, for no reason other than to merge himself into the merry-go-rounding blob of idiots doing similar stupidities.]
0:13 - Bad special-effects that literally make a whole plane disappear into a few (4-5) small fragments that don't appear to weight 20 kg total, and don't possibly contain even 10% of the mass (and volume) of the original entity (plane).
0:22 - Physics simulation so incredible that a piece of paper would fly away from propellers instead of being sucked towards them. Yes, I'm being sarcastic.
0:26 - Planes that apparently change their direction 45º in less than a quarter of a second and travelling just a couple of meters. Better than UFOs!
0:29 - Pieces of a plane get broken loose in front of the camera, and yet, the air-resistance seems to slow them down (remember, the plane is moving forwards) faster than the photo's piece of paper! Quality air-resistance simulation! [Sarcasm]
0:32 - Previously-mentioned broken-loose pieces of previously-mentioned plane would, without any doubt, have hit and caused serious damage to this plane flying right behind them, yet, the broken pieces magically disappear or at the very least void-warp though! Quality collision-detection algorithms! [Sarcasm]
0:43 - You can hear the sound of the plane's nose-mounted machine-guns shooting...
0:47 - You *cannot* see or hear the plane's engine, also in the nose, getting hit or having a catastrophic failure strong enough to cause a fire. (And for that matter, you cannot hear the flames themselves either.)
Quality sound engine! [Sarcasm]
0:52 - There is no fuel leaking from the wing, or any kind of apparent damage to it, but still fire spreads to it for no apparent reason! Quality damage models! [sarcasm]
0:54 - It takes exactly 1 second for a wing that had no apparent damage before to be completely broken off the plane due to the fire's action. Quality damage models! [Sarcasm 2x Combo-Bonus +1000]
0:55 - Plane is heavier and has a more streamlined profile than a piece of paper, therefore suffering far less deceleration due to air-resistance...
0:58 - Until of course the game engine decides that something that clearly should move (in this case fall) far slower than something else, has the sudden capacity to ignore any laws of physics, or common-sense for that matter, and accelerates it to UFO-like speeds in a matter of milliseconds.
1:04 - Yep, fighter pilots (players) in the game are still doing merry-go-round at low-altitude against each-other instead of doing their job, meaning WoWP is as as taken-over by bad-players as WoT, and that if you are a good player, one of the 2~/15 on your team or 5~/30 on the match, you will need to carry a lot of dead-weight in order to win any matches, and even if you give your all in every single one of them, you will still lose some 40% of the battles, because 40% of the teams you get have just too much weight to carry and too few try-hard players to carry it.

Being fair, WarThunder's arcade has the same problem of idiot fighter players doing merry-go-round at low altitude instead of doing their job as bomber-hunters or escorts to other players (bombers, attackers or other fighters). But WT's design actually allows good, try-hard players to be truly decisive in the outcome of the match. You still can't really win alone, but you can almost, and you certainly have a lot more weight-carrying power than in WoWP (or WoT, now the WT-GF is out).
And as for graphics and physics, WT's aren't really *perfect* either. But it's clear that unlike Wargaming's crap, WT's graphics and physics at least *try* to be realistic, *and get close enough*, both in the game and in the trailers.

What do you play now? War thunder? They have to make micro updates weekly as they cannot get off their asses to fix all the bugs they are putting in while they are adding a new update. Fact is games are for wasting time, no matter how good they are, If you enjoy them then you should play them, if not then do not. It is a simple world.
Heh in my opinion this would have been way cooler if in the end when the photo of that p-51 pilots wife/gf,there would have been like a dozen more constantly falling in to the water.Not realistic but would be dramatic.
They probably would have made a better game if they had just made a 20 Minute cut-scene and sold it as that.

I never understood how the bullets pass through the blades
It's a timing system. As the properller turns it hits a small switch that fires the bullets at just the right moment. Pulling the trigger only primed the mechanism.

If one were to be totally objective, unlike all the Gaijin fanboys waving their E-penises about on every World of Warplanes video they can find (seriously guys, we get it, you don't like it, go away now) then War Thunder is the better of the two. That said, however, again despite what fanboys think of any game that competes with a game they have a strange fanatic love of, a game not being as good as it's competition doesn't automatically make that game crap in it's own right. World of Warplanes is a good game in its own right. I suppose the best way to put it is that it's World of Tanks in planes.
Comparing it strictly to War Thunders arcade mode WoWP is lacking in a few areas that War Thunder has miles worth of a lead in, mainly graphics engine and amount of planes currently available (though WoWP is steadily catching up in that last regard),but if you liked world of tanks then you should still like warplanes (it also helps that they share the same account system).

PhilosopherGaming thank you for that! I'm a War Thunder kind of guy but with all the little pricks in it nowadays I'm actually considering reinstalling WoWP. Its graphics aren't that bad, but gives it an arcade look which actually I don't kind. But WoWP makes CGI trailers that represents more WT than WoWP

I definitely wouldn't go that far. I know a guy who's done some time with the Battle of Britain memorial flight (well it's my best friend's brother) and he nearly face palmed himself to death when I told him that people consider Warthunder to be some how realistic. He agreed that simulator mode was quite good (though he's seen better sims), but told me that players must be off their trolly if they think arcade is in any way realistic with the outrageous maneuvers you can pull off with it's flight model, and let's face it most people play arcade.

They definitely do misrepresent the game with those trailers. I would say WoWPs definitely has less pricks than War Thunder, but it still has it's fair share of ill tempered kids and rammers. Be good to see you there if you do decide to have a bash at it again :).
