Hi, could you please share how to convert precipitation (mm) to rain intensity (mm/hr) ? By amount of precipitation (mm) was measured every 1 minute for a year.
Hello Dewi. It is simple take what you have in mm/hour and divide it by 60 to get the value in mm/minute (example: 40mm/hour = 40/60 = 0.67mm/minute). Remember to subscribe and watch more video on hydrology posted on this channel

Hi, is rainfall intensity can reach 100mm/hr? that is far from the 7.5mm/hr range of heavy rainfall
I believe so because UK intensity is 75mm/hr
Hi, could you please share how to convert precipitation (mm) to rain intensity (mm/hr) ?
By amount of precipitation (mm) was measured every 1 minute for a year.
Just add the rain amounts you have for 60 minutes. That becomes rain intensity because its rain depth/1 hour.

@@africanahills2851 thank you!!
And how about if I only have data of rain depth per day, then I want to convert them to rain intensity in [mm/hour], can I use the mononobe method?
