NTNU is a university with an international focus, with headquarters in Trondheim and campuses in Ålesund and Gjøvik.
NTNU has a main profile in science and technology, a variety of programmes of professional study, and great academic breadth that also includes the humanities, social sciences, economics, medicine, health sciences, educational science, architecture, entrepreneurship, art disciplines and artistic activities.
ENHANCE represents a new alliance of research-intensive universities with a focus on science and technology, based on long- standing bilateral or network cooperation among two or more of the member institutions in other configurations. Our Alliance can thus draw on the experience, tested models and methods of collaboration at different academic levels in the various predecessor arrangements, scale these up to the level of the new confederation and enhance them by developing new structures and processes to make a quantum leap in cooperation.

The ENHANCE Alliance is part of the ERASMUS+ funding programme for European Universities, powered by the European Commission. The initiative aims to create an innovative framework of European networks, fostering increased student and staff mobility as well as innovative forms of learning and engagement with society.
