So I found something even better!!! The prep and clean dehydrator from Sally’s! They seem to stay on even better!!!!! It doesn’t protect your nails though like the base coat does. But you could always take a break once in a while and put a treatment on for a week.

You’re very welcome with the recommendation!!! I also tuck the nail under my cuticle that also helps them to stay on. I don’t have issues with losing any for the entire week. I never have to reglue or replace any. Only once in a great while.

Hi Lisa. I have tried the basecoat and it works wonderful. I like the dashing Diva press on nails they are exactly the same. I find the Dashing Diva has a bit more of fashion nails. I hope you enjoy the Red Therapy Base Shield. It works nicely.

I have the pink set with the cheetah too and I never felt like the colors matched so I'm going to look for the green the next time I'm at Sally's Beauty. I prefer my nails to be short so the DD short press on nails are a winner for me, other than the tab there's no filing.

I've been using Dashing Diva for a while so I did end up buying the base shield! But now I'm using reusables that I can use with tabs or glue. I'm a bit worried about trying the base shield with brush on glue! Have you ever tried it? Is it more like a primer, or a dehydrator? I wish we had more styles available in Aus, especially the short styles. I love this combo! 💚
Hi Anna! Which reusables are you using? Are they Dashing Diva? I've never had luck with reusables. I guess with the tabs they would work better than with glue. Not sure about the brush on glue being a primer vs dehydrator, so I'm sorry I can't help you there. Since it's glue its probably more of a dehydrator. Just a guess. I like the short styles too and that's why I like using my nail clippers. I get more styles with the longer nails. I just cut them down 😃 Thanks for checking in from Aus!! 💚

Hi Maureen! The Dashing Diva worked fine, actually, but the ones I chose were a bit too short. I know they make longer length nails, but they aren't readily available in my area. I can get them at Sally's Beauty Supply, but I just never go in there! I've pretty much stuck with my Kiss Glue on nails and imPRESS nails. The color imPRESS do well with a drop of glue added to my nail, before I press them on. I trim down the Medium or Long length Kiss Glue on nails. I think Dashing Diva has a lot of color choices, though. Have you tried them?

Hi I know this is a couple year old. But I was wondering does the base shield keep your nails protected. I’ve been doing press on nails for a year or so and my nails are not in good shape. They are weak and brittle. I wonder if the base works to keep them healthy and protected?
Hi Anna, I think you could use the base coat as a protector if you want. I have been gluing on my nails for 3+ years now and my nails are doing well. I always buff off the old glue before I put a new set on and they are doing fine. I leave them on for at least a week so they come off easily and don’t damage my nails. I’d say if your nails are damaged, give them time to breathe in between sets and use olive oil on your nails. I use a cosmetic olive oil and it works great! Let me know how you do!! It did keep my nails looking good underneath the press-ons. The set lasted really well for a whole week other than a few that I did have to glue back on, but I think that was due to me using a ton of hand sanitizer the day after I put them on! I definitely will use it again!! Let me know if you try it.

Let your nails breath for awhile and then use cuticle cream to keep the area around your nails nice and healthy. What kind of glue are you using? Are you using the glue that comes with the nails? It shouldn't be the glue -- just probably that your nails need a break for awhile.
I'm an impress girl too, Misty! I have on a set now called Malaga Wine -- so pretty!! They are the impress color and they are staying on really well 😊 I did not use the base coat for this set. I like it though -- it keeps the natural nail in great shape!

Excellent video! I always use Red Nail Therapy and a light layer of Karlash brush on glue. Rarely lose a nail in 7 day wear. Thanks for the mention ☺

I've had problems withe the new color impress nails also. They are to small and dont fit right. I'm interested to see hoew Dashing Diva works for you.
