try a chronic scale I think it is called. look up flea dvd bass lesson he is the bassist of the red hot chili peppers and knows his stuff and start slow and go quicker every blabla second I will look for it friend :)

His phrasing is seamless and his slap/pop groove is one of the smoothest I've ever heard. He also plays with a very warm and rich-rounded tone. It literally drives the song. I have to give him his due, since this is a very popular song, and covers while usually good rarely over shadow a stellar performance. Good job!
