Its nice the the Europeans can appreciate one of the only cars from Birmingham thats not stolen.
😂😂
😂😂
😆😆😆
Or involved crash for cash scam 😁
it was a Cat D to be fair 😂😂👌👍
Must be a strange feeling to know that out of all the road-registered Lambo Murcielagos on Earth, yours is without a doubt the best.
Got to be one of the best Lambos out there. Great job on it.
brakediscs and pads do get changes, like 2-3x in a 24h race, they got quite the unique fittings where they simply unbolt the caliper and disconnect the brakeline with a fitting that allows them to connect the new lines without getting air in the system. Therefore its a simple quickchange solution without bleeding the whole system each time
Didn't the Ford GT team work that out for Le Mans, if they could do rapid disc changes they'd win the race. You can probably thank Mr Shelby.
They change the brakes only one time during the 24 currently, some cars could even do it without a brake change since there is a mandatory 5 minute stop though it wouldn't make sense to not change them.
This video was another level, the track sounds were unreal. Banging shots, sound track and editing!
I hope you got Mr Reiter to sign the car!!! What a cool invite 😎👌🏻👍🏻
If he doesn’t like stickers you can be sure he’ll find signatures on a car a bit naff 🤪
I absolutely love the fact that as you're driving through the paddock/pit/service area everyone's head just turn to look at the car!
Also, to add, class editing from Al - as is usual!
Superbly filmed and edited! You guys are putting out such great content
Those Diablo GTRs. My god. Phil, your car is beyond incredible, but my old ass gasped out loud seeing those things.
What an awesome experience. That's another one to go on my to do list.
Feel proud for you, great to see you get the recognition you deserve 👏
Wow. Some of the most legendary race cars ever are parked there. And yours is among them. You should be very proud.
amazing video thank you Phil and Jay
Great video!24h races are the epitome of racing and as i said before in the series of building this car, this is probably the best looking Lambo in the world!
Never noticed the baby blue brake calipers. On point
It felt pretty special taking my Noble to LeMan 24hr with all the attention. A GT1 inspired Lambo must be insane around so many who will fully appreciate it.
Amazing vlog of your weekend at Spa. The lambo just blows my mind and Al's camera work is top notch. Surely a DB9 witha GT1 kit is on the cards soon 😉
Great vid driftworks . Nice to see Phil Jay and not forgetting the bodyshop man's hard work getting attention . 👍
11:04 - Does that mean we can expect cheap DB9 as a next project car? Taking into consideration that their price is actually in the low right now, it would be a great continuation of V12 in the garage.
Unbelievable car and looked like an awesome trip. Best automotive yt channel by a long way. Real builds, real cars, no “I paid £7000 for this……” click bait
Well done! All of their appreciation must make you very proud. 👍🏁
Historic racing is the coolest, I have been lucky enough to work a few races as a truckie in my time, the DTM cars are always a highlight but for sheer noise it’s the gta and Lola cars,
Quite a few teams in the UK operate and look after historic cars like samways in Banbury which is well worth a visit if you ever have the need.
Also have you seen the amount of koenig Ferraris coming out of Japan via auction the last few years. Not wanting to plant a seed but you know….
I’m not a Ferrari man but the Koenig era cars were cool A F
I like this part when the music of the musicians disappears and the sound of beautiful creations of art and metal is heard
Casual $50 mil McLaren chilling!
Awesome video, thanks for sharing it with us 👍
No problem 👍
Baller Status!!!
Work of art
If you could bottle your boys enthusiasm you could afford to build and run one of those race cars! Epic!
Always loved the R-GT GT1. I’m a huge racing Lamborghini fan anyway (can’t wait for the LMDh/GTP car in ‘24) but I always felt a little sorry for Reiter with this car. It should have done more and won more (it was a great race car) but if I remember the MC12 (and possibly the Aston DBR9) came out and they just moved the goalposts so much the poor Lambo was rendered obsolete almost immediately. I guess in modern GT racing it would have been BOP’d to keep it more competitive. However still one of my favorite GT1 cars. That engine was just biblical. 😂
That's pretty much what the Reiter guys told me. In addition there was a hint that it could have been solved/improved with more investment by Audi, but wasn't.
@@driftworks Defo the best sounding car run by LOC Japan at Leman, nice to see it appear here :)
Great video, can't wait to go next year
I do enjoy a DW video. This one was next level mind.
100 years of LeMans next year Jay ...
Maybe, I’ve always been put off by “British” it looks in the camp sites.
@@JayDontGotThis depends on the site. I managed to do a European meet and greet at “our” site talking to Danes and Germans whilst having a social beer.
Great video. Awesome car
@ 9:28 the McLaren, Mercedes & Ferrari back 2 back clips are 🔥🔥 some of my dream cars no doubt, not exactly that Ferrari model. Maybe the f8, sf90, 488 pista, f12tdf, 458 Speciale A are all solid modern Ferrari’s
Awesome 👌 👍 👍
Cheers! 👍
This is rad.
I've been patiently waiting for this video... This honestly puts most modern day supercars to shame
The Lanzante guys are top notch
AMZIONG VIDEO!!!!!!
We were at the event and saw your car! but unfortunately didn't spot you anywhere! cheers from Denmark
Awesome 👍
keep up the good work... love this contend
C O O L VIDEO!
Would have loved to have seen Hans autograph the Lambo, that’d be some official approval!
I can't remember...is that still AWD?
No, it's RWD converted.
Quality
Agreed💯 proper engines with proper sound. Newer doesn't always mean better. Cars just don't sound as good as they used too back in the early and mid 2000s. Ferraris are the biggest disappointment when it comes to sound on the racetrack. 488 will never sound like the 458.
Totally agree. The Ferarri just sounded lame.
🔥🔥🔥🙌🏽🔥🔥🔥🥶
What's the tune Id?
Wow what a weekend lads to have all the reiter lads swarm the car you must have felt like a don and the murci certainly didn't look out of place parked with those legends fair play to ya Phil your living your best life
Dude, it takes an effort to set up 8 individual throttles with 1 tps, that 12 set up must be mad
I'm sat here, trying to think about what I wanna write but I think it is summed up in the video itself. From "Hey, you built a car inspired by our car and we like it and we want to give you All-access VIP passes to SPA24 and park next to our R-GT in the display row" to all the friendly people, being told that F1 GTR is road legal by a bloke you instantly recognize the surname of, the grave yard aka "You might be able to afford the car but can you afford to drive it?".
I'm so glad you filmed all of this and so glad Jay got to see Scooter (again, probably ;)).
Plus: Imagine your road-legal supercar, in a very neutral colour, looks as exciting if not more than a race spec version sitting right next to it!
Thanks Johan 🙏
i CANNOT FUCKING IMAGINE the feeling of building a car over months and months and months. a year+? even only to park it infront of the people who inspired it and have THEM stop stare and fawn over it. Hell i only watched the videos and it got me in the feels. The reserved every man semi behind the scenes who stared at it day in day out and did the body work himself should be a car culture celebrity.
Absolutely mad this! You build your dream car and get invited by the team.. Wow! Respect where it's due! Congrats guys!
Thanks Mo 🙏
Seeing and hearing those older GT1 cars is epic. They feel more special (to me) than the current crop of GTs. Good to see Al is back filming with you guys.
Done endurance racing many times now with a team,
We run 2x Ginetta’s
we take a 3rd complete car as spares and multiples of the basics…. Brake pads, disks, shocks, a couple of diffs, drive shafts, props and nornally a spare engine.
When we race in Dubai 24hr we use 2x 40ft containers.
When the car was in the pit between the others... First time you can cleary see phil's murci is only a few stickers away from completly blending in
This Al guy seems to be quite handy with a camera, maybe he should make a career out of it! ;) Very entertaining video, thnx guys!
And in case Starkey reads this: all these shenanigans recently made me order a couple of wheels from you guys...
Haha, thanks for your order 🙏
The best looking road going Murcielago I've ever seen. Looks like a factor built homologation special! Absolutely stunning.
Thanks! 🙏
@@driftworksall you need is centerlock wheels and itll be flawless
Al’s not bad at this filming lark. A bit more practice and he might earn a living out of it. Great video gents, thank you.
I'm now wondering how long it'll be until Phil decides to install Airjacks on the Lambo 😂
Awesome vid as always guys.
You'll be waiting a long time. I have had airjacks on one of my cars before. It's a total pain in the arse and I ended up removing them. This car is only for the road, so I'd never fit them.
That McLaren F1 Long Tail ♥♥♥♥
I passed you guys on the M20 between Stop 24 and Ashford, was in a Jackson's Fencing lorry. Almost made me hit the stupid operation Brock barriers lol. The car looks stunning👍👍
Good to see you survived your near death experience 😂
Having that invite and their positive reaction shows what a fabulous engineer you are, you strived for perfection and got it!! 👍👍 what a machine 😛
Thanks 🙏
Driftworks always bringing the tunes for the b-roll
Thank you for sharing an epic weekend the car is awesome we no this . Sounds and smells of all those incredible cars is addictive . You all represent the 🇬🇧 with pride 👏👏👏👏👏🇬🇧🇬🇧
Awesome video. I thoroughly enjoyed that. I think you realised how special your car is, even amongst those race cars it fitted in perfectly! Well done
What, no footage of Jay cutting shapes at the disco?
The best kind of adventures. Thanks for having me. ♥️
Thank you kind sir 🙏
What was the DnB track at 21:55?
@@samspargo Frozen Space - Sebastian Pangal
@@AlistairClark Champion! Video was stunning.
Car people are the best type of people ✌️
Wait I’m the guy wearing the Aston Martin Shirt in the background at 26:57
Dude, I’m still waiting!
Yo! THIS MURCIELAGO IS MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL COMPARED TO THE AVENTADOR!
Loved the video, what a great atmosphere at the track. Especially liked seeing your car parked next to the race car and of course the McLaren F1.
Daily driven exotics would love you. Hit them up
They've 'hit me up' already.
DDE is cringe.
Everything this guy makes brings a tear to my eye
Haha, I'm here to make you smile, not cry 😄
Did the Reiter team miss the race start in excitement of the car arriving 🤣
F1 gtr just simply wow
Hi Phil, Congratulations both with the Lamborghini as well as this fantastic opportunity to go to Spa with Reiter. This was a great video!, really enjoyed it! 😁👍
Hopefully I can get to LZ festival at Mondello next month and see the Driftworks cars 🤞🏻
That Diablo racecar was really cool , and that F1 wasn't bad either. I can't believe these cars are considered Historic now, damn I feel old. This generation of racing and cars to me was the Golden Era, (80s-90s--early-00s)
How the heck did you not get any B Roll of the McLaren F1 GTR LT at 4:53 😢
Found it! 😮💨 5:49 That would have stressed me out the whole video 😂
Must be one of your best vids. You Jay and everyone involved should be very proud of such an amazing build.
Super cool seeing everyone from Reiters reaction and everyone else's to be honest! Really really good video this, hats off!
bro I saw your car what the hell I thought it belonged to REITER engineering lmao, thats so cool honestly and I made some pictures of it when it was next to the gas station!
i love the fact, that they are so open to your idea of a gt1 street car! speaks for Reiter Engineering!
You know you did something right when they company you took inspiration from invites you out to an event like this
Lol at all the heads turning when driving in
I didn’t get to see your car on display. Had a good chat with Ben about the Longtail GTR. An awesome weekend of racing.
Incredible. What an opportunity! 🤟
Thanks for sharing your experience with us! Love motorsports and the peter auto events are amazing. Le Mans and le mans classic next year will be unmissable.
Your car deserves its place in that line up,a work of art that ANYONE would be proud of. Well done to you all.
I had a great day today and then watched this video this evening with dinner so an awesome end to the day. You guys deserve that invite by Reiter, great of you to share your weekend in this video.
It looks so good , credit to Phil and the DW team . Must be a proud moment seeing people's reactions
Thank you for making us part of this experience.
Fncking SICK video!!! 🙌🙌🙌😎😎😎👊👊👊
Well chuffed for you Phil. Looks a great event 👍
I find it so hard when it comes to supercars to find anything sexier or more appealing than the Maserati MC12.
Its understated in a way but so dominating with its looks. It gives me the sense its not the fastest car on the planet, but it will make you feel like it is regardless of going 60 in traffic or 160 through a bend.
Nice Footage ...Epic Car...
What a stunning video, great work lads!
Wicked video, superb journey for the car to sit alongside those that inspired it dude 🤌🏼 great work all round!
A great video, well done chaps 👍
Epic video and opportunity 😎
Nice to see you making use of Als skills as well, More like this please!
Thanks 👍
Some place and amazing cars brilliant
What an incredible event and experience. You deserve it for building such an insane machine
