    Opening song is Call it Blue by Jory Nash.
    Brad Barron Renfro (July 25, 1982 - January 15, 2008) was an American actor. Renfro made his film debut at the age of 11 with a starring role in The Client (1994), and went on to appear in 21 feature films. Prior to being cast in The Client, Renfro had no acting background and was living with his grandmother in a trailer park. Director Joel Schumacher wanted to cast a "tough kid" who had the necessary life experience to understand the character he would portray. Renfro soon attracted a large fanbase as he continued to star in movies like Tom and Huck and Sleepers. Beginning in the late 1990s, Renfro had difficulties in his private life, including a series of arrests and stints in drug treatment. He died of acute heroin and morphine intoxication at the age of 25.
    Renfro was found dead on January 15, 2008, in his Los Angeles apartment. He was 25 years old. His body was returned to Tennessee, where he was buried on January 22, 2008, at Red House Cemetery in the small community of Blaine, Tennessee. On February 8, 2008, the Los Angeles County Coroner's office ruled his death accidental, attributing it to acute heroin/morphine intoxication.
    Seventeen days after Renfro's death, his grandmother Joanne-who had accompanied him regularly during his early acting career-died at her home at the age of 76. Local officials said she died of natural causes.

    Brad Renfro was and is my favourite actor of all time. I’m so happy that you posted this. I remember looking at teen magazines of him in the 90s and I still love seeing anything about him ♥️ I absolutely love The Cure and Tom and Huck. I also admire his talent and connection with music, as I can relate (Led Zeppelin fan here ✋🏻🪕🎸). I feel like he could of survived his death and there is more to the story then what we know. He was into drugs and struggled with that but life isn’t easy and we all struggle. Addiction can’t be easy to shake. He had a beautiful soul and had soooooo much potential. He deserved more recognition for his talents and he deserved so much more in life. He is buried underneath a big tree at the back of Red House Cemetery in Blaine TN. It’s a gorgeous spot. Lots of trees and in the country. Very peaceful and beautiful for a soul like Brad 💜 RIP BRAD xoxo

    • @smithamy1982
      @smithamy1982 2 года назад

      Or take them responsibly as they are prescribed, instead of abusing them. I have chronic pain due to many health issues and have literally tried everything else that’s out there but nothing else works. I had them taken away because of all the addicts who abused them and almost killed myself because the pain is too intense. Thankfully, I have a great doctor now who realizes I take my medication responsibly and only so I can function like a normal person. I depend upon them due to my incurable issues but that doesn’t mean I am addicted or take them to get high, actually I’ve never been high on them and don’t even know what that’s like because I take them as prescribed. It’s people who abuse them that ruin it for those of us who actually need them and when the government takes them away because of the addicts, you guys just switch to heroin leaving us in pain with no way out. Doctors have lost their licenses, pain sufferers have lost their lives and yet addicts still get fucked up anyways so please don’t lecture anyone on what to take or not take. Just because you couldn’t take medication responsibly doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t. It’s ridiculous what I and so many others have had to endure because people want to get high… and I understand that addicts have underlying issues they’re trying to escape from, I just think it’s messed up how many people are suffering because some people take things to far. Hopefully you got help and other addicts as well but there’s another side of the opioid problem that is completely overlooked and neglected because so many junkies keep dying cause they are self medicating. There’s multiple layers of the problem but no one cares about the people who actually need the medication due to chronic pain issues, the ones who take medication responsibly, the ones it’s actually meant for.

    It was the apartment on the top right. He grew up in a HOUSE on Chickamauga Ave. In Knoxville. Not a trailer park. I know this because I was his best friend and spent countless days on the front porch listening to him play guitar. I also visited him at the Ogden apartment a month before he died.

    • @dead-jm2tj
      @dead-jm2tj 3 года назад

      @@abunchahooey At age 10 he played a drug dealer in a DARE play at school. The DARE officer suggested he go to an open audition at the Raddison Hotel in Knoxville for the role of Mark Sway in The Client. He was selected out of 5000+ kids for the role. He continued to live in Knoxville for most of his career. He spent a lot of time in LA when he was working but always came home as soon as shooting wrapped. He moved to LA a couple years before he died. The last time I say him was at the apartment where he died. We got into a fight while watching the Georga/Tennessee game. He insisted I stay outside during the game because every time I came in the Vols would start losing. We argued until I finally left and started driving back to Idaho. He called me a few hours later saying ' I'm sorry man. I love you brother.

      @@dead-jm2tj I always thought Brad did a great job as a young actor in The Client, and am even more impressed to learn he landed the role the way he did. I have family who have lived in Knoxville, so I know how passionate the Vols fans can be. 😊 Although Brad was troubled when he was older, I’m sure it meant a lot to him to have a loyal friend from his days before he became famous. Videos like this one about the departed are good because they help keep their memory alive, but tend to be loose with facts. I’m glad you were able to clear up some things. Thank you for your response. And I was wondering, did Brad sending you outside during the game result in a Vols win? 😊

    It was during filming of the movie bully that he attempted stealing the boat in Florida but both Brad and his friend were high at the time and put the boat in full throttle while still being tied to the bank.

    Brad reminds me of Corey Haim in terms of having a similar vibe, good looking, their careers taking a downfall & being discovered at a young age. Corey was not mentioned either in the Oscars "In Memoriam" when he passed. I lost respect for the show soon after that. River Phoenix passed away from substance abuse but he is always mentioned & given credit for his work. Often Brad is not spoken about or mentioned in any program (which is shame). He died too soon. I do agree Bully was an intensive movie and the apartment buildings in LA are beautiful
