Bro, I relate to this so hard. I’ve never been talented, but love photography so much that I can’t stop learning about it. I’ve told people a million times that they can do it too! If they put the time in

Exactly. Talent is the most overrated trait.

So with you on this, Chris! I know that people mean well when they tell me I'm talented and only mean it as a compliment, but in a way it cheapens all the work I've put into it. I am NOT talented - I just put in a ton of work to get to where I am. Another thing I hear is that they didn't know I was a photographer and asked if I always wanted to be one. The answer is no, I just didn't want to work for a corporation anymore haha

Really resonate on that second point. Photography was a way out of corporate America!

Photography is the easiest endeavor to become proficient at. Not so for painting, writing, acting, etc. As Howard Stern said when he switched from photography to painting “ any a- hole can take a picture.”

Cameras made capturing a scene easy, just like ChatGPT now makes writing easy. Technology is awesome.

Hey Chris, your videos are great on how to start a creative business. Your channel is great, only thing i would stay away from is doing gear videos and reviews, unless its about what you use to make money for your business. There are so many youtubers doing gear videos and trying to influence instead of educating.

"Try to have a nice family life... That's a very limited life." I wonder what his family was like. That's kind of all that really matters in the grand scheme of things. Idolize other things and you will be doomed. You have great family You can make it through a lot. You have great family you can be very fulfilled. You have great family you have great support and can do a lot. Pretty sad that he mentioned having good family life in a negative way. Makes you wonder about him growing up and with his family was like.

Could you recommend a mid-range cell phone to capture good portraits and family photos?

Unfortunately I'm only knowledgable on iPhones. IF you're able to save up, the 13 pro or 14 pro will be incredible for photos. Here's a guide: ruclips.net/video/FRLTOBBkm2I/видео.html
