Well, that was Loki's fault actually. Apparently, he deceived mistletoe when Beldr's mother made a pact with the world which stated that nothing could cause harm to him
I had no idea that there were no mid-tier spells in the game and that it skips from weak to strong. I was definitely caught off guard when Kudlak threw a Bufudyne in my face.
Nocturne was piss easy compared to this, imo. Here, every battle kicks you in the balls as much as matador, while the beldr battle I'm stuck on rn is like fighting mot in place of matador. Maybe i should just DELETE ALL OF THE WORLD TO DO OVER AGAIN but with a guide this time.
@@LollipopWNoChainsaw I didnt have to much trouble with beldr. But to be fair I made liberal use of those free battles. It's not even a grinding thing. I just really get into fusing new demons and need to make the macca to buy fodder
@@anenemystand5582 I'm actually on my 3rd cycle rn, but yea. After a reset, some good grind for levels, demons and crackable skills (like the guide said, lmao) he went down easy. He was still trouble on 2nd cycle, but only cuz i was trying to go for the "focused" title, which has you fight NO FREE BATTLES WHATSOEVER, meaning that my leaders all were somewhat underleveled. Plus only MC could damage him. Almighty-based Holy Dances/Strikes, Megido(laon)s, or any physical attack with pierce applied to it actually don't work. Only MC's devils fuge. Worst part was him always healing via vampiric mist, making all my hard earned damage worthless. ...now that i think about it, isn't it a mystic-based attack? Ya know, the purple pentagram thingie. Status ailment skills like petra eyes (stone turning ones) are of the same type. Maybe if i had strong demons that nulled mystic, i could have beldr heal for much less... oh well. I still got around that. Somehow. I... guess you could say i put everything in agility at first, so that i could get Dual Shadow, Extra Change and Dual Shadow + (it does stack with the passive version, right?) on my MC and make Beldr almost a cake walk. But worst part about all this is that i never got the focused title, despite not starting any free battles. I did take a peek once maybe, right before the final-Babel mission on Atsuro's path, but i believe i reloaded the game after that, so it shouldn't have counted. I'm trying again now, on 3rd cycle. Seriously not touching any of the free battles, except for the blue non-non time consuming ng+ exclusive battles. I red on gamefaqs that they don't count against the title,but... i dunno. Having my doubts rn. Perhaps i should try finishing the cycle for now. 6th day anyway, plus game can now be rushed in a day or 2. If i still won't get it, then that person lied.
Kudlak was actually really easy. All you had to do was trap him in a corner with Mari right next to him, and either the protag or any other character to stop him from escaping. So everytime all you have to do was heal Mari when she's close to death. It's pretty easy.
I beat him one turn with my main character. Had extremely high magic stat and just Holy Danced. Lowered his HP to really low and Mari finished him off next turn
Jesus Christ man... The Bels were such great bosses, but Beldr and Jezebel were especially hard. However, I actually beat Belzaboul on the first try if you believe it.
@@PaynePlayz_ Belberith was actually pretty easy. Just rushed him down with Atsuro and MC and killed him after like 3 turns. Having a kishin demon really makes him easier
Imagine being Beldr and getting your immortal ass kicked by some blue-haired little shit and his magical mistletoe. Frankly, I'd be pissed.
Well, that was Loki's fault actually. Apparently, he deceived mistletoe when Beldr's mother made a pact with the world which stated that nothing could cause harm to him
This is the greatest explanation of that fight I have ever seen
"lmao I don't die to emos go back to twitt- HOLY SHIT IS THAT A MISTLETOE?!?!!!?"
I like to think the MC grips the mistletoe tightly, and punches Beldr in the face while holding it.
Blue-haired protags are just built different. Makoto Yuki from Persona 3 is a prime example.
I had no idea that there were no mid-tier spells in the game and that it skips from weak to strong. I was definitely caught off guard when Kudlak threw a Bufudyne in my face.
It's like jumping from Primary School to University
You love to see it though, it is pretty funny
The Bels gave me the kind of PTSD I only expected to get from Nocturne's Fiends
I will never forgive Belzaboul

Bro at when it said 0:44 I really felt that
it’s amazing the DS didn’t burn down playing this soundtrack
I can hear the sounds of bufudyne and holy dance just by listening to this song
The theme of Holy dancing every single boss that wasn’t luicfer
God damn Vampire! His mission took so long, this was the only saving grace.

I guess it is. If mainline is known for stackable (de)buffs, then DeSu is for how broken some ailments can be.

Racials like Charm or Devotion help out a lot because of their increased range.
I just petrified him and let Mari eventually one-shot him. c:

Corner him, have Atsuro petrify him with +stone (his stone ratio is fucking broken), have Mari one-shot him.
I did that mostly on accident and made the fight laughably easy
