This video is doing wonders for my self esteem and makes me feel less of a noob 😅 All in all, I think... you definitely need someone to supervise your purchases, ideas and execution of them. My word, you're like a loos canon... on a raft... upside down... on fire 😂 Great job man. Love the determination, showing all mistakes and taking us on this ride 👍🏻

Hello Mr Man Made, this is the first video I have seen of your's, I'm a 71 year old novice woodworker, I really enjoyed your video, I like that you show everything, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, I also enjoyed your stories, I have liked shared and subed, thank you for putting a grin on this old man's face
I love this comment! Thank you so much for sending it! So thankful to have you along on the journey. And yes I keep the ugly in haha and there's lots of it!
Used to watch the Team Edge vids when I was younger but I now I followed along with my dad who taught me the love of woodworking. It’s like Joey follows me everywhere I go. 😂😂

U make inpulsive decisions that are so relatable. loved! new sub!
I clicked on this video yesterday and said nahh I don’t wanna watch a guy build a table for over and hour. Then it popped back up today and I realized it was Joey! Good to see you and Brian I knew you guys went different ways with your RUclips channels but you guys were my favorite RUclips’s for yearsss. Glad to see your doing good.
What’s crazy is how we’re growing up with him and adapting with him through the years as a kid we had the fun videos now we’re older and have more mature awesome calming videos we can enjoy even more!
I genuinely think these hour + long diy videos are the way to go. There’s a ton of woodworking/maker channels on yt and they don’t usually breach past 45 minutes or they’ll make a multi part series. So there is probably a gap in that “market” so to speak for hour + long videos that people can binge
The fact that he involves stories along the video makes it more interesting. So basically yeah , I don't think there's any one who's showing "fun" while talking about something completely unrelated haha. My advice, just do what you are doing while talking about life in between sometimes lol.
Not going to lie, I saw that thumbnail and immediately thought this was fake click bait. Blown away that it was actually real and you did it! Great job dude!
NGL. Really Happy you Rebranded this Channel. This is the kind of content I can just slap on while at work and enjoy and get me through the day. Also the Shop turned out so amazing. Love it.
Ive said to the same great woodworking youtubers you've mentioned that the pain, emotions and struggle you put into these types of projects shows in the very best way possible. Ive watched people effortlessly make unique tables and other furniture and you learn nothing of how the ideas came about and you quickly forget the project ever existed. Guys like you, john and Blacktail always put your heart into weird ideas and make us feel like we are there with you through the good bad and leaky disaster that leads to masterpiece the project becomes. Thank you from a truck driver who may never have this kind of skill set and passion for beautiful and functional art work. Always forward ⏩🤘🏼

@@manmadecrafts there's a really good work shoe brand called "Shoes for Crews" Our auto shop has epoxy flooring, so oil and any other fluid makes it a slip-and-slide. I have the highest respect for your Honesty with the true cost of your projects, so few people are willing to admit the actual amount they spend on projects that they've videoed for youtube, especially when it's obvious that the enormous amount of cost did not necessarily produce an equally Enormously cool End result. There is definitely something to be said for ingenuity and creativity That develops when trying to accomplish something on a very shoestring budget, yes it's a bigger pain in the **** but can also be more satisfying when you made something amazing for a couple $100 instead of multiple thousands. At least for me.
I hope you realise you don't need to build anything extravagant I'd be happy seeing smaller and easier builds too, keep fighting and I hope you continue to succeed.
I didn't check the total time of this video before watching it, can't believe I've just watched a whole movie's worth of diy. Since it was a suggested video I knew it had to be good, but every step of the way I kept thinking it would turn out badly. WOW, your obsession with tools and thoughts about it- for a moment, I thought I was listening to myself loudly thinking. You described the past and present and situations, in advance preparations and thoughts and reasoning and outcomes word to word exactly how I describe myself and my ways- so eerily similar that I jumped out of my chair and rewind to make sure I was not imagining...
Just stumbled on this channel, and I am very happy that I did. The stories, alongside the goofy jokes, the completely avoidable problems, the stubbornness and everything else that is shown.. it's so human and relatable, while also making everything in the video seem achievable. It's really cool how you took such a mundane concept and made it this absolutely gorgeous work of art. I'm not great with words, so I hope this made at least some sort of sense, but the video really inspired me! You took an existing thing and gave it a completely unique (and borderline insane) spin, and that's something that I can sincerely appreciate. Showing every aspect of the process, including your failures and mistakes with it, is so refreshing. Keep up the incredible content! Don't overwork or stress yourself. Take care of yourself, and I look forward to the next video. 💛
The fact that it looked that good and it's your first official build on the channel has me floored and SUPER excited to see what's next! I also loved your style of video with not just the building process but the full almost small documentary style with some personal stories and your comical remarks! Definitely miss Team Edge but if we're gonna get bangers like this, then I'm all for your channel and Man Made as a whole! Keep it up J-Fred, we love you!❤
Hey Joey! Just letting you know that you have guided me a lot throughout my life. I grew up with Team Edge and recently wanted to get into workshopping, the second I started looking into it I see your first upload on this new channel! I seriously love your stuff man, please keep doing what you love
Joey, I have been a long time Team edge fan and when I saw from your last video that you were making a new channel I new I wanted to help out and support. I’ll be honest I came to watch this video just to get your views up and give a like. But I wanted to say you did a great job, I came not expecting to stay but you have kept me entertained! Keep up the good work, you and your family have been and will be in my prayers!
This video was so well done. With all of the candidness about the mistakes along the way, my expectations were set a little low. So the final project being so amazing actually made me a little emotional. Totally inspired.
The sawdust in your ears, etc, hits home. I used to work in a millwork shop at a lumberyard, during hs and college. Worst job there was emptying the sawdust bin, which was a building bigger than a 1 car garage, maybe a 2 car garage, and considerably higher. Had to go in with shovels and work all the sawdust onto a conveyor belt that we dragged in the door behind us. It was especially great in the summer. Sawdust literally everywhere on your body, and stuck to you with sweat. Thank God for the compressed air hoses in the shop. Don't miss those days, except I was really buff from all the lifting heavy lumber all day most days. Popeye forearms from all the manipulating big heavy boards all day, planing, ripping, trimming, etc.
Love the story telling, love the building and openess of when things go wrong, I was alway a big fan of your personality. JOEY!!! Keep following your dreams... and know people are in your corner.
I must admit I thought it was going to be crappier than you on that camping trip but as a passionate amateur with the design inspiration of a creative genius I am very happy to see that someone else has a whole bunch of WTF moments just like me. I am going to be watching you very closely. Thank you for sharing your passion with us it is so refreshing. ❤
Look at what you did, you did embrace, you did overcome, you did succeed. you made a beautiful piece, you accomplished more than most, and all you did a very good job. If I were you I’d be so proud of that accomplishment that you did good job, bro you made a piece of art, and you overcame so much, good work
Brand new sub here in southern Oregon. Loved your persistence and your success (at last)! Doesn't have to be perfect, just has to be YOURS! The thumbnail got me & I watched the whole thing. Happy happy, joy joy! God bless you! (Over $5000? Really???)😮
I knew I recognized you from somewhere, you are from Team Edge :) I basically lived off of those videos and saw almost all of them, it was kinda sad seeing them end :(
Videos like yours are a Big help to the DIY community. Not only do you help with creativity, but also a "Do not repeat my mistake" moments. Saving us money and headaches. Thank You
I love the uniqueness of your clip! Length of video, stories, and learning curve! As a weathered furniture builder, I am in pain on what amount is going awry in your builds. But hey, you got it done and it looks beautiful! Keep building, man!
Having this as an indoor feature with a glass top would be an interesting concept for practicability. I do wonder how you would handle the waterfall. Maybe the waterfall could be in the center of the table with a cone surrounding it as its support?
This man wholeheartedly told the story of how he got scammed by someone with the PayPal of "insatiablecowgirl" but was shy to say he liked miniatures. It's always so interesting to see/hear what others are embarrassed about. Like, I'd be completely opposite in the telling of those two facts 😂
@@manmadecrafts fair haha just finished the video, love the table. Awesome work! The laminar flow the waterfall had is so pretty and absolutely worth it
Man, that is really cool! I could totally see the boys hanging out with beverages of their choice and just chatting around that table. Lots of hard work, heartache, battle scars physical, mental and emotional, but totally worth it. Great job!
From the last video alone, opening up about Lyme disease and bringing more attention to it I subscribed right away. Been a long battle with it myself. Keep up the good work.
Whenever I worked with resin pours and had leaks, I would use got glue. It tends to work, but bear in mind, Im a miniature modeller, so my resin pours are much smaller, but its worked for me in the past even for larger projects. That said, my dude, this looks awesome!
I love this...I love how smooth the water flows over the edge in a solid sheet...and of course the rest of it...sorry it started leaking... but it is great...
It was a great surprise for me when I first saw you doing diy, I was like “wait isn’t he on team edge?” But I’m so glad that you’re doing what you’ve dreamed of doing for awhile. The table looks great!! Good luck on the new channel!
I'll be honest, I'm not really a fan of long form yt videos. Also I just watched 3hrs of Man Made and it was worth every minute. You're mindset on mistakes (mostly speaking on the harry potter office) is really awesome and it's something I'll try to apply more in my life/projects. Thanks for the great content and good luck on everything! But not too much luck. I like watching how you save a mistake and turn it into something beautiful.
The only thing that comes to mind for a change would be a remote pump. Think pool pump. Run two pipes from your catch basin to where your going to have the pump. One for intake and one for discharge. You could use a semi rigid hose to give you some flexibility and prevent the intake from collapsing under the suction from the pump. This would allow for having the noise of the pump away from the table. You could even enclose the pump in a sound reducing housing. But beyond the noise of the pump, the table looks great. Far better than I could ever hope to do.
I'm starting to get the impression of you, that you could be one of those people that really want to help but no one who knows you would want it 😆😁 I really appreciate that you share your failures along the way. It makes it less scary for beginners to try new things, then when all you see is experts and perfect projects (perhaps with a lot of mishaps cut out)! 😊 And of cause there is the added bonus of learning how to fix those mistakes! 😁 I've never really worked with wood or even power tools at all. They scare me! Though I recently used my power drill for the first time, and it turn out to be a lot less scary than it seemed in my head 😁
Good for you after all the problems you stuck with it and it's awesome 2:05 . Loved the water defeat stories. As a Cali grandma that grew up by the beach, I also have great memories of water and family. Go chunky brass pencil!
I love seeing someone experience all of the hardships in creating as I do. Most of the RUclipsrs videos look like nothing, or very little goes wrong, but that has never been my experience!
Never in a million years did i think id be looking forward to a diy construction channel to upload, but here we are. I love the spins youre taking. Like between the construction and almost 1 long vlog. Its an excellent idea and for some reason this content makes me feel like a kid again. Which is weird because this doesnt relate to me at all, but i get a comforting feeling from watching the making of the workshop to this one. Now onto the stair office!
Dude, I love how human you are. You got that "I effed this up, but I was trying to send it dude!" vibe that is honestly great. Admit where you mess up, and keep sending it bud! Just giv'r!
This video popped up as a recommendation despite not having previously watched any woodworking videos before. I thought there's no way it'll hold my interest for over an hour and a half, but boy the time flew in! What a great, interesting, humorous, witty, inspiring and overall fantastic video. I've subscribed and look forward to more! Best wishes from the Republic of Ireland.
Oh my I'm in love with this table. I'm a sucker for waterfalls. I love them. I purposely do waterfall hunts and make goals to visit them. This video kept me in tune and wanting for more stories. I laughed so much my face hurts. I'm always on RUclips watching resin videos. So glad I found this. Now binge watching your other videos. Lol sharing them with my Christian families I'm spreading the word.
You’ve been my favorite since team edge first started remember when the first vid came up on my feed all those years ago you’ve brought me so much joy as a kid
İm glad i have found you at the start of this channel. You show your progress and mistakes along the way but still you do something really cool. As much as i love foureyes or John malaki you are more of a begginer and its nice to see someone like that. Keep doing what you are doing!
I'd definitely recommend "Welder's Arms" whenever you're cutting something like at the 23 min mark. They'll prevent cuts/scrapes and are pretty breathable and easy to put on/take off
I appreciate the build. I also appreciate the honesty of trying different things and continually adapting and improving. Great build. I’m sure they will only get better as your knowledge and skills improve.
The process was so chaotic and yet the end result is so soothing~ If i had the space and money i woild get one of my own to just sit in front of... Great projekt, great video, great storys! Keep it up!
It Is honestly so relaxing to see you take your time with a video. I personally Like putting your videos on as background noise While i'm doing projects myself. I also like the thought of adapting to plans over time when things happen that you don't expect. In fact a good example that i recently did is I've been getting more into blacksmithing again and yesterday I had never been able to forge. Well a happy accident happened where I was able to do that for The first time and it was really fun. But with everything said, I look forward to seeing more videos from you. 💛
Seeing Your journey from Team Edge To now being an independent creator has been INCREDIBLE Joey!
Keep it up J-Fred, we love you!❤
100% great with the dwarf olive trees. I agree with the modern looks and I love bonsais. Easy to maintain too
dang bro, I was wondering what was going on with this channel. Great to have you back Joey
Great to be back!
I live in Houston, that storm story sounded like you were here for Hurricane Beryl 😂 great timing, the only real storm we've had all year
The sawdust in your ears, etc, hits home.
You are definitely not the only one that pre-buys tools you don’t need yet.
Very cool table. Look forward to more videos.
Love the story telling, love the building and openess of when things go wrong, I was alway a big fan of your personality. JOEY!!! Keep following your dreams... and know people are in your corner.
Joey, that table and waterfall is lovely. I look forward to hearing your stories and more ideas in the future.
Really???)😮
Hey Joey. Your my favorite edge. I wish the channel didn’t sink. But I hope a good future for you and the guys
I’ve been a fan since you guys were in the apartment and have watched almost every episode. Even all the lemon made episodes
Your art of flexibility when plans need to change is epitomized by "I always shoot first, and whatever I hit; that's what I was aiming at"
Having this as an indoor feature with a glass top would be an interesting concept for practicability.
Like, I'd be completely opposite in the telling of those two facts 😂
haha I was joking about being embarrassed by the miniatures
@@manmadecrafts fair haha just finished the video, love the table. Awesome work! The laminar flow the waterfall had is so pretty and absolutely worth it
Man, that is really cool! I could totally see the boys hanging out with beverages of their choice and just chatting around that table. Lots of hard work, heartache, battle scars physical, mental and emotional, but totally worth it. Great job!
From the last video alone, opening up about Lyme disease and bringing more attention to it I subscribed right away. Been a long battle with it myself. Keep up the good work.
he got me to wach all the video 1h 34min you are soo good bro
The fact that you have 1.5 hours of stories to stretch this video out is more impressive than the table.
My. God.
I find it super super super annoying and it's exhausting hearing him speak incessantly for over an hour.
Whenever I worked with resin pours and had leaks, I would use got glue. It tends to work, but bear in mind, Im a miniature modeller, so my resin pours are much smaller, but its worked for me in the past even for larger projects.
That said, my dude, this looks awesome!
0:55 love the Bible reference
Wtf is that supposed to mean?

I love this...I love how smooth the water flows over the edge in a solid sheet...and of course the rest of it...sorry it started leaking... but it is great...
Not even the last hour before school let out for summer break has ever felt this long.
This isn’t just a waterfall table. This is a work of art. It’s breathtaking. Well done!
Truly a piece of pure art. God bless you❤
The table came out BEAUTIFUL!
Love how it came out. It’s amazing and looks so calm to sit next to it and just chill and relax
I'm starting to get the impression of you, that you could be one of those people that really want to help but no one who knows you would want it 😆😁
I really appreciate that you share your failures along the way. It makes it less scary for beginners to try new things, then when all you see is experts and perfect projects (perhaps with a lot of mishaps cut out)! 😊
And of cause there is the added bonus of learning how to fix those mistakes! 😁
I've never really worked with wood or even power tools at all. They scare me! Though I recently used my power drill for the first time, and it turn out to be a lot less scary than it seemed in my head 😁
EDIT: LOL! I wrote that half way through the video. So before the part about abrian not wanting your help! 😆
I love the story telling that comes with these videos and thank god for the length of them as well.
Not only do I love the waterfall table, I love your commentary!! The table is STUNNING!!
You’ve got vision. I’m glad you decided to go for it, and record it.
Looking forward to your channel
In Brazilian Portuguese we say "muito louco!!"
Its a mixture of amazing with crazy, in a pretty much positive meaning 😊
I don’t know what I enjoyed most, watching the build or listening to the stories along the journey!
Its so crazy to me how i grew up watching team edge, now im 19 and woodwork myself watching you do the same.
It turned out great❤
Hi J-Fred I'm happy to see you upload. Hope you make more and have fun with making these videos.
The process was so chaotic and yet the end result is so soothing~
If i had the space and money i woild get one of my own to just sit in front of...
You are an amazing inspiration and I hope to be half the craftsman you are.
Also I don't have Instagram will have to make the pen myself wish me luck
