Not a fair review when you are not starting with a NEW machine that DOES NOT have oil residue in it. The instruction manual is meant to be read, not a coaster to set your drink on.
I bought this machine yesterday and it makes great popcorn. The instructions clearly state no oil or butter and it even says on the box "Fast preparation without oil and fat"
"So it's definitely smoking. Could be the remnants of the oil." Um, yeah! Who puts oil in an AIR popcorn popper?! I wouldn't have posted this video for public viewing. I'd be too embarrassed.
Obviously you shouldn't have poured oil directly into the heating coil and the reason that you lost so many kernesl is cuz u should have let the machine run and heat up for at least one or two mins.
OH I have a old Sears Kenmore from the late 70's that my parents had before I was born. It works GREAT! It weighs like 10 lbs and is that sexy 70's "harvest gold" color (I mean sexy in the most sarcastic way possible). LOL
I also have so many kernels that don’t pop and I didn’t put oil. I stored it for 14 years. Took it by out again and boom now I now why I stared it. Kinda cool still thro.
lol the title went over other commenter's heads, it literally says "How Not To Use". Other than that, yes the oil/butter will damage it. Thank you for the video!
I have something like that, but white. As you now know now, don't use oil. My popcorn fills 1/2 of that metal bowl you're using with maybe on average 10 kernels left over. That red lid you have might be the scooper also since they usually come with one showing up how much you can add, then again that lid looks like a lot . In general I would try again but with less popcorn. It should work properly.
There was hardly any popcorn in there while testing. If machine only pops a tiny amount of popcorn at a time it's not worth purchasing anyway for that reason. There are much better popcorn poppers on the market. Don't waste your time or money with this one.
You ruined your popper for not looking at the user details and you would not recommend the popper? Well how did it work before you ruined it? It's a little like taking your kitchen knife to stir up and spread some concrete than not recommending the knife because it couldn't cut well after.
At 5:42 : "If you want to support videos like this in the future, go to..." Haha! Hilarious! You mean videos about someone using machines in a way that was not intended and probably will ruin them?
Please remove this video. I don't think it's fair to the manufacturer that you screwed up the machine, then gave it a bad review. Wow. What's next? Are you going to put foil in a microwave oven and give that a bad review too? SMH.
Mine works great w the oil. Hardly have any kernals in my popcorn. It was cheap too. Got mine for 10.00 at the goodwill. Ur really missing out cuz u got a bad one. Should have traded it to manufacturer for a new one.
So you review something... but aren't bothered to read the manual first that says: Preheat first and NO OIL... and then you put a review Online. and instead of removing it due to your own faults you leave it on? Thats not fair to the company that makes this product
I bought this. Started no oil. Started smoking bad.. so stopoed looked at this site. Lol daw he added oil . It saud not to but thought oh msybe u do. Only to nesrly burn house down. With or without oil it snoked bought a dud

I have the exact one and it works great and does not smoke. That's because you put oil in it
is the inside made of stainless steel ? do you thing it doesn't have any weird plastic taste or chemical smell?
Misha El Hajj No it's just metal. Tastes fine and has no wierd smell
no oil and the red cover is a cup to pour in the correct amount of popcorn Kernels.
"So it's definitely smoking. Could be the remnants of the oil."
Um, yeah! Who puts oil in an AIR popcorn popper?! I wouldn't have posted this video for public viewing. I'd be too embarrassed.
YES! Thank you! The whole reason of a hot air popper is NO oil! Otherwise, save some money and use a saucepan or a stock pot.
This review went horribly wrong. Smoke detectors going off. I’m crying laughing😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
:)
Me too
Beep beep beeeep
The lid can sort the real amount of kernels to actually go in. It specifically says no oil!
I cant believe this video is still up
Obviously you shouldn't have poured oil directly into the heating coil and the reason that you lost so many kernesl is cuz u should have let the machine run and heat up for at least one or two mins.
If you read other Amazon reviews others are having same problem with unpopped kernels

no the waste of time is that we actually watched this
Mine like spitting out kernels that were unpopped more than popped ones
Few minutes in, I was thinking, this is going to be a disaster 😁

Beep Beeep Beeeep lol.
I hear like 3 different alarms now thats some funny shit
Haha
HOT AIR POPPER no oil. Read the directions if you don't know how to use it, and then maybe do a review! Waste of time watching this
Don't put oil in it!
DAMN IT! I followed the instructions as he was doing it. Yeahhhhhh machine is fried🤬 NO OIL.IN THERE
You think the oil caused smoke? Wow no shit
The oil was not the problem you were the one it's called operator error! lol very funny to watch this is an AIR popper.
, when you use the oil you messed it up I've always made my popcorn with very little seed and a lot of result
You are supposed to read the instructions
At 5:42 : "If you want to support videos like this in the future, go to..."

Nice!
You don't use oil !
Its an air popper you didnt need oil
I have the same exact one and mine works real good. You put oil no good
Please remove this video. I don't think it's fair to the manufacturer that you screwed up the machine, then gave it a bad review. Wow. What's next? Are you going to put foil in a microwave oven and give that a bad review too? SMH.
There's actually a follow up video to this one..
AHAHAHAHAHHAHAA 😂😂😂
Bro I have this exact machine and your not supposed to put oil in it and one more thing if it smokes it is not in good conditions
hot air popcorn popper do not put oil
Mine works great w the oil. Hardly have any kernals in my popcorn. It was cheap too. Got mine for 10.00 at the goodwill. Ur really missing out cuz u got a bad one. Should have traded it to manufacturer for a new one.
I don’t like electric devices. I make my popcorn in saucepan .. just put some oil and 1/4 cup of popcorn.. the best 👍
So you review something... but aren't bothered to read the manual first that says: Preheat first and NO OIL... and then you put a review Online. and instead of removing it due to your own faults you leave it on? Thats not fair to the company that makes this product
with out oil
Why do you even decided to post this review?! You obvs screwed up lol. Thanks though, I'll make sure to tell my gf not to make the same mistake ahah
Haha there is another video where I do it correctly because of all of the online backlash.
You don’t put oil in it , read your directions next time.
There's an updated review to this one, check it out. Same product, no oil used.
So if you shouldn't put oil in there, does that also mean you can't pour the popcorn butter in there either? 🤔💁♂️😅
You have a duty to adhere to instructions. Hot air poppers don't need oil.
Is everyone missing the fact that it clearly says, How Not To Use......
Se nota que no eres profesional en hacer esto ... no leíste el manual y aun así puedes recomendar algo !!! . dude doesn't know how to use it and ends up giving it a bad review after massacring the poor machine. smart 🤔
Next time try gasoline instead of oil. Then again just get someone with common sense.
Don't waste ur money....not worthy
HAHAHA LMFAO!

this unit is crap! good vid!
zephyr Dok But it says not to use butter nor oil...
Of course it was crap, after you _destroyed_ it. Who puts oil or butter in an AIR popcorn popper?!
