One of the mathematicians you interviewed said that she gets more inspiration to do maths from mathematicians than maths itself. I totally agree with that. Thanks for the empathy series.
Thank you so much Maria! This is really refreshing to watch as a mathematician myself. We often don’t talk about the stress of academia or doing research but this is very encouraging
" I wish mathematicians that they can prove relatively rapidly something which pleases them, which makes them happy, which makes them joyful, like I was with my little thing. Because it has a psychological effect that you feel more confidence " Helen Esnault, Great video! Peace out
I think this is something you indeed learn over time. I accepted the fact that I will never be the best mathematician, and that it is not possible to learn all math in the world. As long as I give my own best, it is fine. What hurts much more is that Math-life balance doesn't really exist for me. I can't find it.
It was similar enough for me (physics): realise that I should be pleased with whatever contribution I could make to my field, and always look for topics where I it seemed as if I could make some contribution - some things are built by many small stones.

Who's that mathematician?
I love your content, your series "wonderland of K-theory" was really helpfull for me, as I was motivated by it to begin studying that field.

Thanks for all your beautiful and inspiring interviews
This is so nice! Thank you so much for making this wonderful series.

I'll always watch these videos just to see the little turtle and hear the piano introduction.
Beautiful, thank you.

You should write a popular book for the public and include your experience interviewing mathematicians!
awww, I wish!
