This is not (for me) her best rendition of Ondine. The tempo is a bit too fast. Her DG recording with a slower tempo and an edgy sensuality is absolutely mesmerizing.
The best erea of Argerich with her first recordings ; j listened Gaspard - Ondine in 1977 Marseille Opera very disappointing by Argerich very far from her record 1970
The "as usual" is of excess. Have you listen to her 1975 DG recording ? Her timing for ondine is 6:12 which is certainly not fast. By comparison Michelangeli is 5:21 (Pragua) and 5:47 (London), so roughly the same timing than here (5:31). And what to say of Gieseking's 1937 recording with 4:50 ! Now to say that "everything is so messy" only shows your jealousy toward Argerich's ability to play fast with great clarity.
I disagree that everything is messy in this. However, the right hand does sound slightly unstable at the beginning. Even if it is, it's absolutely impressive that she's able to do this at this tempo at all, and besides, I think the slightly unstable right hand is very effective as it gives a more realistic sound that's comparable to the unstable nature of water when moving. It's like Martha is treating it like an background effect than something that needs to be entirely consistent.

this is just ridiculously fast, as usual for Argerich. we can't even listen to the rhythm in the right hand. everything is so messy.
