Ato showed up in the commentating booth and Dwight Stones hasn't been heard from since. Ato revolutionized T&F commentary in the U.S. Before him, NBC's coverage of the Olympics was unwatchable. The commentators only researched the American athletes and were often caught flat-footed when "foreign" athletes won. Not only is Ato talented, but he is incredibly smart. No sport commentator is ever going to out-research Ato.

As a Caribbean fan and a Trini, I am proud of Ato and all the other Caribbean champions past and present. I am sure that Jamaicans have "sports politics" issue but it seems that they have and still are much more focused on their athletics than us....especially in those 80s and 90s era in Trinidad, I saw champion material, who were the best we had in their age group by a mile ...and could have potentially been our Ato before , Ato came on the scene were cheated and frustrated because they came from a certain south club and influential persons apparently didnt see eye to eye with the coach..... was sad and ridiculous to witness it personally.

Since Sydney is nearly a decade younger, of course she was eventually going to overtake Dalilah.
