Oh agreed 100%. DKC3 is by *_no means_* a *BAD* game. It's a very good game. It's just not a _great_ game. I think a large part of this is that it feels too much like a watered-down DKC1. The combo of Dixie and Kiddy is very similar to Diddy and Donkey - Dixie's float being the only real differing mechanic between the two pairs - and there's nothing particularly _new_ about the levels, puzzles, and encounters in the third game. So I think that contributed a lot to it feeling less impressive and less memorable than its predecessors.
Dang it. I love this. It's musicians like you, Swiggles, Jparecki, PyjamaPants and so many others that inspired me to recently pick up my guitar again, even though I only know 3 chords and my calluses aren't tough yet. But you know what? I'm going to keep playing. I won't give up on it ever again. All in the hopes that one day, I'll be able to post videos of myself playing my favourite music just like all of you are. Thanks for being part of the VGM community (that goes for all musicians too!) ❤️
Haha you bet Stickerbrush and AA will be most requested now that you've put out a DKC cover, but tbh this is my favorite tune in the whole series. Thanks for covering it!
I looked at the title, was like, "Maybe not for me, but it *is* RichaadEB". And I now find myself pleasantly surprised. Keep doin what you're doin man.
Most people would be happy with playing the right notes, but you are always all about the details, making them sound often times better than the original! Never stop, please!
I'm a big big fan of your stuff. The quality is top-notch and I always genuinely look forward to a new video. One minor critique with this one: I would have liked it a bit more is if the lead part (xylophone part in the original score) that starts at 0:30 would have been a bit louder or more distinct/set apart from the rest of the guitar. It gets a bit muddled at some points. Looking forward to more!
I can not use your covers as dual mixes? example has a dual mix with your music ... and I was going for my animation (giving credit to you by mix metal and credit to the guy who made the dual mix) ... there's something wrong with that? I do not want to do anything wrong
And you realized this game's greatness on your own creating this indefinite masterpiece. Thank you for always being a part of our lives you wonderful man you.
Another cover that made me cold with goosebumps Damn that opening and the middle part, I love how you held the sound and made it seem like one long note kept some good suspense.
I have goosebumps all over ! WHAT A GREAT COVER ! I'M AN AVID DKC PLAYER by the age of 4 until now that i'm 24 ! also im a fan of metal music damn duuude ! you ROCK ! more power !
very cool. I always thought the rhythm of the bass line would work well for something proggy or djenty, but you managed to get it into a really melodic/riffy tune that's pretty awesome.
After watching your videos for a long time now i started noticing how easily you play things, like how you don't tense up i mean(not saying your stuff is easy to play lol). 1:03 is a perfect example. If I ever try to play stuff like that I notice that my wrist and elbow gets really really tense. Anyways after noticing I am trying to correct it. I have no friggin idea where i am going with this comment haha. Solid cover and awesome playing as always :)
I love all of the work you do! So much great shredding, across so many games. I have a few suggestions if you're ever looking for tracks. Good Night Mom - La Mulana (Though I wouldn't be sad if you did every boss theme. They're all awesome for different reasons.) Battle with the Wanted - Metal Max/Metal Saga Boss Theme - Final Fantasy Mystic Quest Keep up the great music, man!
Before you get to Stickerbrush Symphony and Aquatic Ambience, you have got to check Manic Mines (I think that's the track's name) from DKC2. It should help ease you into those two classics after this fantastic cover.
One of my favourite tracks from DKC besides Aquatic Ambiance of course. However, I like the music from the DKL series, too. Oh, and I can't wait to hear all the tracks from DKC2, looking forward!
Earlier in my notifications I wasn't paying much attention and thought you did a bass cover of a Fear Factory (the band) song XD Nice cover either way \m/
I am SO HAPPY you finally did some DKC!!! I love the music from that game (and subsequent games), David Wise is one of my favorite composers. I love what you did with this arrangement!
Might I suggest the Haunted Hall theme or the Hive theme from DKC2 next? Or if you feel like doing something with some serious bounce to it, the Ship 2 theme from Rattle Battle
@RichaadEB In regards to the drums, could it be a slight slight lack of reverb on a couple of cymbals and the snare? To me, a couple of the crashes don't seem to fade quite right and snare has a good pop but it lacks just that little somethin. I dunno, it could be just me, and regardless, it still sounds really good for sampled sets. :)
your tones sound fucking awesome dad. Also dat groove
ty papi
No homo :3
Forgot how good this game's soundtrack was, great jobbbbbbbbbbb
Oh my god dude please do it
How... How did you know to cover my favorite song... SOOOOO GOOD!!!
This is the 8-bit drummer seal of approval here,
I would listen to you drum a weeks work of fear factory
My favorite music track from DKC1 and this might be my favorite tennis
YES! I have waited so long to hear a metal version of this song, and you knocked it out of the park!
absolute head banger
So happy to hear Donkey Kong from ya, even if the first game out when you were an adult.
"I never played this game as a kid."
Have you rectified that as an adult? =) If not, do so! You won't regret it. And that goes double for DKC2!
And Triple for DKC3 ?
+Deyonnu Gel no, sadly DKC3 wasn't quite as good as its predecessors. an ok game in its own right but not the amazing classic 1 and 2 were.
Axioanarchist
Indeed, but it's nice one.
I like DKC3 personally, but there really is no denying the majesty of the first two.
Oh agreed 100%. DKC3 is by *_no means_* a *BAD* game. It's a very good game. It's just not a _great_ game.

That phat snare though!!
One of the best video game songs in the history of everything. Extremely nicely done there, mate!
I've heard alot of the metal covers to this and by far yours is the BEST!!! Thanks for that..
Dang it. I love this. It's musicians like you, Swiggles, Jparecki, PyjamaPants and so many others that inspired me to recently pick up my guitar again, even though I only know 3 chords and my calluses aren't tough yet. do it dude!!
Mate, every great guitarist started from knowing 3 chords and having soft fingers. You just gotta keep at it man.
Haha you bet Stickerbrush and AA will be most requested now that you've put out a DKC cover, but tbh this is my favorite tune in the whole series. Thanks for covering it!
Thank you so much for this. All I ever wanted in life was an awesome metal cover of this song and I never thought I'd see the day.
I looked at the title, was like, "Maybe not for me, but it *is* RichaadEB". And I now find myself pleasantly surprised. Keep doin what you're doin man.
This is the best rendition of this track that I have ever heard.
Loved it. The harmonies on the verse melody were awesome
David Wise is a Genius!
Nice cover man :)
0:59 god damn, that's hella groovy, man. Awesome job
Jesus Christ this is so badass. This should fit any 1 on 1 battle
Incredible cover of one of the best tracks from the series. Great work!
Holy shit man! Really nice to see you do some good old DKC!!
Most people would be happy with playing the right notes, but you are always all about the details, making them sound often times better than the original! Never stop, please!

Played the game or not, you rocked it regardless. Always a pleasure to see what pops up next.
I love the brutal honesty in your description
The lights in my room are turning off and on, anyone know why?
Amazing man. Really cool bass tapping, and I think your drums really blew me away the most :)
I'm so happy you finally covered DKC. THANK YOU
Dude this blew my balls off. You are fucking killing it man. Keep it up!
I can not use your covers as dual mixes? example has a dual mix with your music ... and I was going for my animation (giving credit to you by mix metal and credit to the guy who made the dual mix) ... there's something wrong with that? I do not want to do anything wrong
My favourite DKC song. Thank you so much!
Oh man, FEARLESS cover! Got me bopping my head. Fingers crossed for a power metal Funky's Flights DKC1 cover next-ish!
The entire game has such amazing music, and you 100% did this song justice. Keep up the amazing work.

Holy fuck! Just came across all your stuff. I'm hooked!
Yes that lighting is terrific! Awesome cover man!
And you realized this game's greatness on your own creating this indefinite masterpiece. Thank you for always being a part of our lives you wonderful man you.

You may not have played it, but you sure gave me intense nostalgia. :)
I love all of the work you do! So much great shredding, across so many games.

Haven't heard this level theme in a long ass time, and glad to hear this.
How did it take four years for RUclips to show me this... I'm sad I've missed out till now

It would be so awesome if you covered Feather Fiend from Donkey Kong Country Returns! It would sound so good in electric guitar!
Yes! That needs to exist!
Yay! my favorite donkey kong 1 song!!
