She got that poetic rizz
This was lovely! I'm a huge fan of two creatures with _completely different anatomies_ forming a special kind of "bond" with each other - in my opinion, it feels so much more _special_ than 2 very similar beings bonding, due to the barriers/challenges that should be between them. I also like how her appearance is left ambiguous, so I can imagine her being as bizarre as I want.
Since she mentions being unable to enter the listener's home, I'm imagining her being HUGE. I find size difference, and being protected by a gigantic creature, surprisingly comforting~
I love the emphasis on _subjective beauty_ here. Even though they are completely different species, and should not be considered attractive to each other, this cryptid in the listener can _still find the beauty in each other._ I think that every creature is amazing in its own way, and every human has that "special someone" who they are amazingly gorgeous to - even those people who are the opposite of what is popularized as "beautiful." I was never one for traditionally attractive people anyway, so I'd love even the ugliest monster if she has exactly what I'm looking for!
Thank you very much! You know, when I first started designing the video thumbnail, I did initially try to find images that could work to depict the cryptid, but as I looked at pictures, I quickly realized that assigning her an appearance would only detract from the mystery in softlikestatic's amazing script. So instead, I went for the forest she's a part of, and I'm glad I did.
I've always been drawn to "beauty and the beast"-type narratives myself, so I feel you -- there's something unmistakably beautiful in that kind of bond. Thank you very much for listening and taking the time to leave such a lovely comment as well.
I love monster girls, especially unusual and mysterious ones.
But there are three things I want to point out here.
1. The first thing we see is the video thumbnail. And while you risked leaving the video less attention-grabbing, you still did the right thing by not using images of any monsters for the video thumbnail. Being able to leave the imagination free is actually a very elegant solution to this beautiful script.
2. The second thing we pay attention to is the sound. Your voice and intonation were very good and matched this character from the first second to the last.
I also really liked the natural sounds outside as well as the music. All this worked to create atmosphere and mood.
3. The third thing is the words themselves, their meaning. What words were chosen and how they were skillfully woven into sentences. It's so lovely and sweet. So graceful and full of beauty. All these compliments with cosmic flavor. Stars, planets. But at the same time, simple earthly things that are close to us, like heat or the light of a lantern.
In general, I was fascinated not even by the story itself, but by how it was written and voiced. It was very sweet. So sweet, like she was pouring liquid chocolate or honey on me until I started drowning in it. Still, it was a pleasant experience.

Thank you very much. I could go into detail about the making of this video, but I'm afraid that it might just serve to ruin the illusion. But I will say that I wholeheartedly agree about the poetry of the words. That is the magic of softlikestatic, and the reason I have so, so many of Static's scripts saved. Being able to bring them to life like this is extremely rewarding. I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much.
