  • Beef Stew Recipe
    Ingredients
    1.5-2 lbs. Beef Stew Meat
    2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
    2 Tablespoons Butter
    1 teaspoon Season Salt
    1 teaspoon Salt
    ½ teaspoon Pepper
    1 teaspoon Onion Powder
    2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
    2-3 cloves minced Garlic
1 Carton (32 ou.) Beef Stock or Broth
    2 Heaping Tablespoons Tomato Paste
    1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
3-4 Carrots peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
3-4 medium Potatoes peeled and cut into 2-inch pieces
    2 Tablespoons Corn Starch
    2 Tablespoons Water
    Directions
    1. Turn your pressure cooker to Sauté Mode on High. Allow to heat up for a few minutes. Add Olive Oil and Butter in the bottom of your pressure cooker pot. Once melted add in your stew meat. Season with Season Salt and Pepper. Let the meat brown on all sides then remove from the pot.
    2. Add the Beef Broth, Tomato Paste, and Garlic to your pot. Stir with a whisk scraping up any brown bits off the bottom of your pot.
    3. Add in all of your seasonings, Worcestershire sauce, the meat, and lastly top with your potatoes and carrots. Do not stir it once you put your veggies in. Place your pressure-cooking lid on, making sure your valve is set to seal, and pressure cook on HIGH pressure for 35 minutes. Allow the pressure to NATURALLY RELEASE for 12 minutes and then go ahead and release the rest of the pressure by switching your valve to venting.
    4. Open the lid. In a small bowl combine your corn starch and warm water. Pour into your stew and gently stir, trying to not break up the potatoes too much. Turn the SAUTE function on and allow to simmer until thickened. For a thicker stew add more cornstarch and water (slurry).

I have an Instant Pot but right now I’m in a small apartment but moving late summer or early fall. I’m glad that you gave a recipe because I can use it for sure!

Just a FYI, Worcestershire sauce should be pronounced wuss-ter-sher.
