I cannot believe how much of a fan of Richards I am become after watching these podcasts for the last week. Genuinely impressed with the cheeky charm he utilises putting his guests at ease. And Sara Pascoe is utterly lovely in a witty humorous manner.
1:24:30 - Perhaps the most Richard Herring ending to a podcast ever. I love it. I knew when I listened to the audio version I would have to come and find the moment on video.
I definitely watch WILTY for David Mitchell and Lee Mack. Their interaction is great, better than any other regulars of panel shows that I can think of atm. Replace either of them and it might work, but it won't be the same show anymore.
Homunculus! Have just remembered that Rich was at the Alice Roberts lecture sitting near Richard Dawkins. (I am not a stalker). Where she talked about the history of our knowledge of reproduction. Was ace. There's a word in Japanese similar to Sara's Australian Aboriginal thing. Itadakimasu. (Soundsa bit like 'Eat a duck I must') Which means thankyou to the person who prepared the food as well as the animals and plants that died to help keep you alive.
Fun fact, "Sliding doors' translates into an awkward expression in Hebrew, so when the movie was released in Israel they translated it as "Revolving doors", conveniently ignoring the fact that sliding doors are a recurring theme in the movie.
Hello from 3 years into the future. I've just discovered your shows and now binge watching. Great stuff.I was crying at the almanac bit and I don't know if I should have?
Does someone please have the rough time stamp for when Sarah Pasco says "women aren't just dickless men". I'd very much appreciate some help. By the way, good interview. Having seen this, I'm inclined to go back and pay for the video RHLSTPs from the previous series, like the one with Stephen Merchant. They're really well filmed. I expected it to be grainy and shaky - it's why I've only ever bothered with audio up to this point.
CAMZAB I used to like his jokes. And then I stopped liking them. I find he's quite hit and miss for me. And even Have I Got News For You I only watch when certain people are on it, even though Paul Merton is a legend.
28:08 - 36:40 Didn't expect a inside baseball analysis of Mock The Week and other comedy TV programs, that was great! Didn't know you got paid £1000. Will try to find that Russell Howard's Good News episode where he goes on about anal sex :P 1:01:23 "I spend so much of my life thinking what would Michael Legge think of me if I said Yes to this?" haha 1:06:38 "Someone's sending you a horrible tweet to you, it's like someone shouting out of a car. It's not really personal. They don't know you. It's just an idiot, they might be very young or very drunk. I think sometimes they don't know how upset you are." So true.
my other comment appears to have been censored or blocked somehow... i assure you i meant no offence as i am a big fan of both herring and pascoe, but considering the other language used in the comments section and in richard herrings work in general i am a little surprised that someone chose to block my very mild profanity... i'll admit it probably wasn't very funny, but my comment was not intended to be offensive...
Honey is just bee puke so not really an animal product, the bee eats, it mixes with bile in its stomach and then the bee pukes it up so does it really count?
+F*ckAll Politics&Politicians Yeah a lot of tests have been done. Just taking a new born blind baby and observing them trying to survive through mirrored glass. You nailed it.

I can't believe I've only just discovered your podcast. It's fucking brilliant! You are going to get me through writing up my PhD thesis.
I do enjoy his podcasts, it's a shame he can't get more tv work

I love the "Wheeeey" noise like at 32:15, I've watched a few of these and it sounds like the same guy every time.

What does it translate to?
@@LeoMRogers Early to middle Bronze age Brythonic Welsh, a dialect caled "Wyddywyl Gywllagthyn".
Strange watching this after her break-up and how they both talk about it in their shows.
Who was the boyfriend?
@@chekkatechno John Robins

Old Moore's Almanac was my reference point.
Richard Herring why does every one in the industry talk about Steve Coogan's private life with such blatant knowledge of something secret?

If I recall correctly Flintlock were also the resident band on You Must be Joking with a teenage Pauline Quirke and Ray Burdiss
Sara Pascoe is fabulous ❤❤❤
the conversation about new comedians and mock the week-style shows was suuuuuuuuuuuuper interesting :D
this is the best one ive heard so far

1:20:30. Ish.
I can definitely hear my drunk laugh in this one. No I'm not sorry.
Cool 👍👍
I remember watching that episode of NMTB and thinking it was really seet that Robbie Williams' dad remembered Sarah. He seemed like a nice old gent.
I can only watch Mock the Week when specific comedians are on it. I can't just openly watch it like Have I Got News For You.
+scw55 So, stopped watching when Frankie Boyle left?
CAMZAB I used to like his jokes. And then I stopped liking them. I find he's quite hit and miss for me.
And even Have I Got News For You I only watch when certain people are on it, even though Paul Merton is a legend.
Cheers Richard, and Chris (yes, that one). BUY A BADGE PEOPLE! I want this shite to continue (shite in the ironic sense, naturally)
Bought my badge yesterday.
Totally agree with what Sara had to say about vegans.
She's my favourite vegan comedian.

I now want to write a rapist's almanac but with really bad advice that makes them get caught before they hurt people
You can tell he only heard the word "almanac" from back to the future part II by the way he thinks it predicts the future.
+23Stork I honestly can't tell if you really believe that or if you are joking.
The most on your game so far (that I've seen). Either it was the charming and attractive Sara Pascoe, or the suit and tie.
Sarah's math is off. With £50,. Richard would be able to buy 2 but not quite 3 notebooks.
my other comment appears to have been censored or blocked somehow...

It's more because the bees are kept in captivity. I bet they still use fly spray, though.
It's Bee poo.
Sara Pascoe 8:41
richard herring 0:00
Ricky Wankhands.
50:04 repeat
My favourite comedian is probably Stewart Lee.
Love MTW bashers.
Don't like it? don't watch it. stop whinging about it.
Sarah hit the nail on the head, lots of sour grapes from certain comedians.
Sara Pascoe is very beautiful. Sorry that's not as interesting as the messages you read out, but that's all I got.
didn't know that about hugh grant. that's fucking gross.
something to ponder: blind human children will not stand or walk on 2 feet naturally unless another human teaches them to stand and walk.
+F*ckAll Politics&Politicians Yeah a lot of tests have been done. Just taking a new born blind baby and observing them trying to survive through mirrored glass. You nailed it.
This went from thoroughly enjoyable to unutterably preachy in a blink of an eye
Not sure if Ms pascoe's boyfriend is a great comedian or not, he certainly is a lucky bugger!!!!
Just goes to show you, you don't need to be naturally funny to make it as a stand up.
Can't read these replies but I'm clearly talking about dicky as per. Pascoe is a fucking delight.
themadplotter lol I honestly was ready to pounce on you till I read your clarification. Hahaha
she does not understand the circle of life
Circle of life is meant to be natural. Breeding and slaughtering billions of animals is not natural but eating roadkill or natural death would be.
