I Am Boulder Junction: Headwaters

Owner of Headwaters, Liz Unkefer, has lived in the Northwoods since she was a teenager, when her dream of owning a restaurant began. She realized that dream in 2023 when she and her husband purchased Headwaters, a Boulder Junction staple for over 40 years. Not only does Headwaters have incredible cocktails (always try the Old Fashioned!), but their walleye shouldn't be missed. I really miss all the local decorations that were on the walls and ceiling. Looks almost sterile now. Also thought the all black attire of the staff was odd, especially for a relaxed northwoods type place.
