The amount of patience required to produce this fur is astounding! I'm sure those looking to restore a rockafire animatronic will be over the moon to have this stuff!
I am actually very surprised you weren’t able to find a US fur company. Fursuit-fur comapanies are generally really good, because many fursuiters have very specific ideas about what they want and require high-quality and durable fur. Colors would be hard to find on their websites, since many of the retailers do short runs/ batch runs, but I would think they'd work with someone on large batches, (it probably would be pricier, I'd guess 😅). That's a lot of dedication to work with those waiting times in samples, though! Rock on!
Wow! So fascinating! And the time, the accuracy, the care and love, not forgetting how much money you have invested in your restorations of these iconic characters! Just FANTASTIC! I am so proud of you, Jack! 👍😍👏👏🙏
Glad you finally released this episode Jack. Been wondering about the process ever since I talked about it with you. Truly remarkable what you've done to help those restoring to get a piece of the pie. Your work doesn't go unnoticed!
It really is wild just how difficult the right fur is to procure. It seems like the quality standard has gone down a little bit over time, huh? Although for the purpose of clothing or decor I guess these extra specifications that you needed aren't very important 🤔 It's interesting nonetheless. It definitely makes a pretty big difference on some characters
So much effort went into the fur alone!! Did Creative Engineering provide templates for cutting them out, and did you do that yourself as well? Or did you just send the fur over to Aaron and ask him to cut and sew the pieces?
Hello, I found your channel when you were at the makers fair and I heard you say that you used an Arduino based controller and I have been looking for a controller big enough for a rockafire animatronic for quite some time and I was wondering if you could go in depth of how you built it and how someone like me could build it and what we would need to do on the programming side of things. Thank you!
Aaron doesn't know how lucky he is to have you.
@IceCreamTrucks_Of_Irwindale I'm serious. Do you think Aaron could accomplish all of this without Jack's help?
