Great walkthrough about Filters. I’ve been following you guys since your inception, learned a lot and secured an Intune Intern position in my company. This book would really help me learn about all the screws and nuts in Intune.
Congrats! One of our winners already bought the book so you have been selected as an alternate. Please DM us your email address on Twitter and we will get a book sent out to you. twitter.com/intunetraining
Your videos are really great. Thanks a lot ! ! Some things are a little bit buggy or sloppy / slow in Intune but if everything is tested in a few ways and on a lot of more machines it is really fun !
Would be great to filter by compliance, to for example apply a certificate profile only to compliant device and remove it otherwise. Also it seems still not possible to assign a particular software/policy to a user running on a particular device (ex.: assign to a user group and then filter to include only a particular device).
Awesome video as always! I was trying to get filters working correctly and when doing filter evaluation got nothing, going to try this again when I’m back near my work machine.
I'm super late to this video but I'm a new Intune Engineer and between you guys page and Scott's book I've been able to get a lot complete quick and I just wanna say thank you for all the work!
Every day is a school day - liking the new troubleshooting views in the Filter Preview can see that being a massive help for troubleshooting in this area and in several others of MEM - definitely interested in a chance to win the book as well as it's not on the UK amazon yet...
This series has been fantastic in my adventure of setting up my company's MEM environment. Can't wait to get my hands on this book to further enhance that knowledge!
Another great episode, but I have a dilemma; I found the AAD dynamic filters a bit clunky - I'm trying to create a simple filter that sorts out the managed by property for 'Intune' for example, but the property is not yet supported in MEM. Is that coming soon to the MEM UI as it would really help me out as we are Co-managed at the moment and I need to separate my targeting out. Thanks
looking forward to this I was creating Dynamic Groups but could not quiet get them to do what I wanted. Ownership was pulling from Azure AD not Intune for some Groups I was trying to create, and ownership in Azure was not the Same as in Intune. Thank you this was really helpful. You guys do a great job, I really enjoy your episodes.

@@IntuneTraining That's great news! But I already bought it (and have been using it to get my workload moved over!). Please pass it along to someone else. Thank you again - looking forward to learning more in Miami

Guys! First things first thank you for your videos!!! I have a question related to using filters. For instance I have an App that required for all users and applied filter (exclude) personal devices. And I have the same app that required for all users and applied filter (Include) corporate devices. These policies would be work on the same way?
Love this serie, I'm interested if you could do an episode to map SCCM functions to Intune, such as Software Metering, is something coming there? or howto run an Intune package when no user is logged on (requirements script?) etc, thanks for all!
Hi guys, thanks for all the great videos, really helping me with my job. Adding a comment to be in for the draw for Scotts book, but also wanted to ask Ben a PowerShell question. I've written a PowerShell script to create Autopilot profiles using the Graph API and also created a dynamic group and query that populates with devices based on group tag. This all works fine. Now what I want to do is add that new dynamic device group as a member to about 40 or so device configuration profiles. The configuration profiles already have other group members, so I want to add this new group, not replace any existing ones. I've being trying with graph explorer but can't seem to find what I need, do you have any samples or could help with how to achieve this with PowerShell? I don't want to add the group manually to each profile as that will take all day.
Realtime scenario where a User has two devices and one device needs to be troubleshooted for a specific profile issue or couple of profile issues , we have to have an ability to filter based on A AD Device ID or Intune Device ID . Filters should be enhanced to have User and Device properties .
We had some conversations with Scott offline and suggested the same thing. Hopefully we will see it in the future. Keep in mind, the feature is in preview and will just keep getting improvements.
Say for example you assign a filter to an App deployment policy and a particular device doesn't meet that filter evaluation and therefore the app doesn't get installed...but you then make a change to the device so that the device should meet the filter criteria... will the app ever get installed on the device?
I had to stop the video early, maybe you guys get to this so my apologies in advance. Is the best practices now to assign to All Users or All Devices and rely on filtering to contain assignments?
We were suggesting that you could leverage that as an option if/when it makes sense but you would need to evaluate your use cases to ensure proper targeting.
@@davidf7550 If you accept the evaluation time and risk :) Would always recommend being specific is better in a prod environment. The circle start and ends at the use case.

Nice episode. Will for sure try the filter out.
Great video! Can’t wait to dig into filters!
Great Book Scott and Filter was a great addition to Intune!! 👏👏
Filters are a godsend! Thanks for the video and demo. (And great presenter chemistry as always)

Great job showcasing a book, there are not enough books/PDF format content that is so focused on a specific area.
