There are a few tiers of "synth based music", this resides in the EDM area. But if you/we had a project wth real, vintage analog synths for soundtrack works (e.g. Moog Model D , ARP Quadra, Prophet 5 or 10, etc) it would be addressed much differently. Yes you'd still need to manage low and mid buildup but you (would usually) want to try and 'preserve' and mix (preserve the written, natural tones of the analog gear that is. That means being far more careful and frugal with EQ's, stressors and de-essors, and comp to a degree. You want to usually hear every detail of those type of synths). The bad news: vocalist is way sub-par, rather predictable and limited (iow, rather forgettable stuff). This kind of EDM though, it's always so glossy :( , as if a Guitar Center blew up all over it. It's kind of a dime a dozen and rarely hits me. I'd call this ELM really (electronic loop music - usually consisting of 4 to 8 bar repeating phrases, cue break/build, repeat... until it's time to shut the bar down. Fun at the right times i guess but essentially childish overall. So in a sense these vocals kind of outline that). For some real synth -based music (with substance/concept) check out the soundtrack for Sorcerer, or their 'Phaedra' release (Tangerine Dream), or Halloween III (Howarth/Carpenter), It Follows (Disasterpeace), to vintage Wendy Carlos, Zawinul, and George Duke.
Great content! One of the best videos I've seen.

Thx for the tips.
what song is this
shazam it
We're so used to autotune that she sounds really off to me.
+Signature Sound Studio Hey, I never said I liked the damn thing.
Piano was better before you EQed the harmonics down. Good tips though
that female vocal is way too loud and annoying, it's hard to follow the video
