Unfortunately due to a rather debilitating illness I've been unable to complete any updates in the past month on either of my channels. I've only had a few days that I was well enough to edit some clips. Since I am running low on Wonder Woman clips (Season 1 Completed & Season 2 nearly completed) I will be moving to a 2 week update cycle here. Also, hopefully I will be in better shape by the next update. I will be attempting an update on the other channel starting tomorrow, if I continue to feel well enough. Thank you, Mike

I always thought that Lynda was a stunningly beautiful and sexy woman, but you can tell that she has very little upper body muscle size/definition in the scenes where she is pulling down the helicopter. In my opinion, it would have been a much sexier scene if she had at least some noticeable muscularity. I realize that this show was shot in the late 1970s and the "ideal woman" at the time was the super skinny super model/fashion model look. Women with more athletic and femininely muscular builds would not become more mainstream until at least 10 to 20 years after this show was produced. I am not talking huge muscles but more of a fitness model type look, the kind of build that women like Cory Everson and Rachel Mclish would make famous only 10 years later.
Fun fact: Lynda Carter is one of only two actresses I know of who were required by the studio to gain weight

This came out before Christmas 1978. Would have been nice had she saved Santa Claus.
Yes, it would have made a perfect story if she saved someone that looked like Santa Claus and then afterwards he smiled at her and said "Thank you for saving me Wonder Woman, now I have some work to do." and when she turned back towards him he had vanished and all you heard was sleigh bells and the sound of "ho ho ho" in the background as Wonder Woman looks confused for a moment but then flashes one of her trademark smiles.
Should've gotten Billy Barty to play the Leprechaun.
I remember thinking they should have gotten a little person for that part as well.

Not too much. But superman doesn't weigh too much either and can choose to get pulled or resist. She's doing that here.

I remember watching the helicopter pulldown as a kid - my dad was all "pfft! She must weigh about 5000 pounds!"

So, the bad guy had an attack dog that was a GOLDEN RETRIEVER? Not a very smart bad guy. Goldens are like the happiest, friendliest dog breed on the planet. You have to work over time to make those dogs go against their natural personality.
They both can communicate with animals telepathically I think.

Even if the leprechaun found out Wonder Woman's true identity, would the amazon use her lasso on him to make him forget or not?
I would say she would not, as he was not an ordinary human, like most people she dealt with.

They didn't even try to make that dude a leprechaun. That's how amazing Linda Carter is. Didn't need to.
This is one of the sexiest most impressive superstrength scenes from the entire series. It would have made it that much sexier if they used her "superpower sound" throughout the entire process of her pulling down the helicopter. Also, since she wasn't standing directly under the helicopter, she wouldn't have been able to use her lasso to pull the helicopter all the way to the ground from the angle she was standing. It would have been sexier to see her pull the helicopter over towards her and then see her reach up and grab the landing skid, the bad guys gunning the engine to full power but unable to overcome her strength as she forcefully pulls the helicopter the rest of the way to the ground.
And as she grabbed the skid she could have shaken the copter or tilted and everyone would fall out. And/or she could have crumpled or pulled the skid right off. What an imagination I have.. ha

Wonder Woman was lucky that the Leprechaun didn't use her magic lasso on her later for his own pleasure because Leprechauns are tricksters and it's their nature.

While it was an impressive feat of strength to pull down the helicopter with her lasso, the geometry of the ending dont make sense. Since she was standing off to the side of the helicopter as she pulled it down, she would not have been able to get it all the way to the ground unless the pilot gave up and landed it. It would have been better if she used her lasso to pull the helicopter over to her and then reached up and grabbed one of the landing skids. The pilot would try to gun the engine, but you would see her holding the helicopter in place with her strength before pulling it the rest of the way to the ground. It would have been sexy to see her standing under the helicopter her long hair blowing in the wind as she held it back from escaping.
It was the 70's for heavens sake

@@theJACK__ True but the Incredible Hulk TV show did a scene just a few years later where the Hulk held a helicopter from escaping by holding its landing skid. It would have been very sexy to see Wonder Woman holding the skid of the helicopter, her hair blowing wildly in the downdraft as the pilot tried to use all the helicopters power until the engine burned out and Wonder Woman pulled it to the ground.

The episode I was thinking about was The Lottery which aired in early 1980 so it was only a few years after this Wonder Woman episode aired. Lynda always had such beautiful long thick hair, so it would have been very sexy to see it blowing wildly in the downdraft, the more the pilot gunned the engine the stronger Wonder Woman pulled.
