I think the true sign that you've arrived is not just getting your own segment in the BCU. It's having your own redemption code with a sponsor. Well done, Alvin!
@@jasoncabral3831 Nope, @KayLoo202 is talking about the bento box Sanji prepared in Whole Cake Island that had the favourite food of all the SH's. Wholesome!
I think it’s important that you didn’t try to cover up undercooking the lobster. So many cooking channels only upload once everything has gone exactly according to plan, and it’s not really realistic in my opinion. But seeing you make a mistake reminds me that not everything has to be perfect all the time and I really appreciate that.
You should make Maya's most favorite ramen from Ace Attorney. There was an episode where Pearl, Maya's cousin, accidentally broke a very special shell that belonged to Maya, previously belonged to Miya. Phoenix decided to help her find out where the shell came from, but among Maya's things was a map of a specific beach circled with a specific time on it. Phoenix and Pearl went there and found a sacred shrine. They decided to pray in front of the shrine, hoping it would help them find a new shell. All of sudden, they hear a Ramen Kart on the street, and then, WHOOOSH!!!! Maya pops out of a secret hideaway, fresh as a daisy, scaring Phoenix in the process. When they ordered some ramen, and to Phoenix's surprise, the shell they've been looking for so hard, is a bowl for that one ramen she loves so much.
Eldoon’s noodles! I love how in the localization of the first trilogy, the ramen got rewritten as Maya’s love for burgers, but then they had to reintroduce it in Apollo Justice.
If you guys wanna shake things up, there’s a few desserts in both seasons of Restaurant to another world. also just a wholesome cooking anime all around and well it’s not food wars.
Thank you for your great anime cooking segments! They always have to make the food and anime looks so delicious lol hope you and the binging with Babish Crew and family are doing well!
The pitch of Alvin's voice seems obviously forced to sound deeper than it naturally is when he does these voiceovers. He sounds much more natural in other videos he appears in on other channels. Sounds like he's taking tips from Elizabeth Holmes
That scallop clam casino seems more like Coquille St Jacques, a wildly popular restaurant dish in the '70s, than like clams casino. The mussel dish seems like Mussels Fra Diavlo.
Hey Alvin, can you make the medium nonfat milk pistachio deep mocha dip cream Frappuccino with chocolate sauce (and gobs of whipped cream) from Komi Can’t Communicate? I think that would be pretty fun.
Yknow some youtuber literally react to videos or eat on camera and they make millions of dollars. Alvin out here making feats every other week like he’s a kings head chef
"honey-caramel-banana-chocolate donut" From Tokyo Mirage Sessions. Or any of the food that was in the Pokemon Cafe commercial that was on Pokemon Day in.
I've worked in a fish and chip shop for a few years now and when he said scallops me first thought was: "wait, scallops aren't seafood, they're made of potatoes"
I can’t imagine the painstaking care it takes to get seafood correct in a restaurant kitchen. I like cooking, and am very much a novice, so I have a lot of respect for people working in restaurants.
I completely disagree about the cheese on fish rule. Fish is generally a sweet meat and cheese is sharp and fairly savory. Sweet and savory are a perfect mix and I often have seafood based foods with some sort of cheese with it. Tastes great!
I'm honestly curious about these dishes specifically because of the cheese/seafood combination, like it sounds so wrong in my head but I do trust Alvin so... I guess I'm headed to the fish market (I love when this channel makes feasts 😍😍)
When pairing cheese and fish, think about what marriage of flavors and textures you're going for. Lobster mac and cheese with lots of gooey, stringy cheddar is great; you want to use sharp flavors with strong flavors and experiment with lower moisture options more or less across the board. A nice fish pie with bubbling bechamel and gruyere would be delightful, but a salmon filet with melted high moisture mozzarella on top sounds kinda odd (id still try it of course).
Do the huge feast from Bleach tybw where ichigo and renji are at squad zeros palaces lol there's more food in that scene than a whole kitchen can even hold!
Oh man, I can see myself cooking these dishes at a beach house in North Carolina, with a view of the Atlantic Ocean on a hot summer night for the course of two weeks.
I would be very happy if you made a meal from my favorite anime, Family Guy! They have this moment where they make "every pizza place salad" and it's very funny.
Hmm, lobster undercooked? Open up the shell, thrown in some butter mixed with parsley and garlic, and throw it into a medium oven till it looks done. That food looks amazing though, I want it all!
Can you please check out a new anime called CAMPFIRE COOKING IN ANOTHER WORLD WITH MY ABSURD SKILL - it's basically exactly as the title says. Guy gets transported to a fantasy world where his only useful ability is that he can order food from the regular world which he then cooks. Like if your unique skill was being able to use instacart. I learned how to make karaage chicken by watching it lol.
surely that 'yellow seafood risotto' is paella You actually did that lobster jut right, but once you pull it out undercooked, you're meant to take out the organs and then oven roast it the rest of the way :D
may I possibly suggest a Ninja Turtles pizza special, making the 2 pizzas from the 1990 movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles which they had 2 pizzas named The New Turbo Ginsu and Penicillin, then do all the wacky pizzas that Mikey made throughout the 5 seasons of the 2012 series of TMNT including in the animated tv movie Half Shell Heroes: Blast From The Past, and the 99 cheese pizza from the 2014 Michael Bay Ninja Turtles movie

Yeah Alvin, it's totally not paella, you're right :D
I'm no cooking genius but I do think that for the salmon pasta you could use capers instead of the peas to help cut through all of the richness
Yeah, looking at the reference they are also darker and not as bright as most peas. I'm fairly certain that's what it would be.
I dunno, I've seen creamy salmon pasta with peas. Lemon would cut through too
