Please provide the voltage dropper/dimmer used in the video
If you have a 2100 motor control you need the pulse frequency control (that you can find on ebay) to control the speed by 20 hz.
You need a choke coil if you want the motor to last. Both on the AC and DC side. With out it you will destroy the motor in no time.
Yes sir it was a fail...Especially at low speed! It heated up.. lol
What part would you need to properly control it at lower speed? I have a broken treadmill I want to bypass this way, but without it catching on fire, lol.

If it's a MC 2100 model circuit control board, that model needs a pulse frequency control that you can buy on ebay for cheap. There's videos on that on youtube how to use that.
Look at mike man made speed controller video. It has a little more details.what he is using is an SCR and a receiver bridge not hard all on eBay for cheap. Just oversize everything since it is all from China😉

The most important wires that you don't talk about are the blue wires from the The motor or else it won't run at all so could you show us how you hooked up the blue wires from the motor
