I'm surprised that there's so few reviews of this bag. It's absolutely perfect for everyday carry. I use it for my work where I travel a lot - a lot of flights and hotels around Europe. I was somewhat hesitant due to the lack of sternum strap, but I've had no issues. It stays in place when necessary and it doesn't scream tactical which is really a must for me.
Overall a fantastic bag. Great layout and features. if they made a "Deluxe-Deluxe" version with some refinements it would be a touch nicer, but overall no true complaints from me. Thanks for watching!
Any updates on this bag? How is/did it work for you? I just ordered one, and thinking about buying another just to have on hand. Looks like they might be discontinued. The style really appeals to me, I don't always want to be walking around with Molly and straps hanging all over the place. I found myself grabbing my jansport for simple things more than Mystery Ranch, Vanquest, and Tom Bihn just for the ease of use and casual appearance!
Cool set up. I digg. Im probably gonna buy one. Are the shoulder straps slippery because of the silky looking material? And where do u buy the add on interior velcro pouches.?
They're not too slippery...I actually knida like how they feel. It's a daily carry for sure...and one that you'll enjoy for overall layout. I honestly haven't had a much better overall layout in another EDC for office carry. This has been extremely good. The interior pouches are a mix of old school Maxpedition and modern Helikon Tex.
I like the bag, not so much a fan of the glossy straps they do look very slippery on the shoulder. my other slight concern is those duraflex buckles holding the shoulder straps to the bag, I have broken something similar in the past and would consider tying some paracord around the strap loops so if the buckle fails then the bag wont just fall off your shoulders. overall though i like the minimalist non tactical looks and the price is pretty reasonable for maxpedition, thanks for the review!
The maxpedition entity series slightly edges out on this one....that 1000 codura is a lil tooo rigid for a greyman style edc IMO. I'm purely speaking on comfortably, for when I'm using it as a pillow while sleeping under a bridge somewhere.
I would say it depends on what you're using it for. If for EDC daily carry to the office, it's really awesome. If you intend on outdoor activity, I'm not convinced. But after a couple months of using mine on an every day basis...literally, every single day, I can truly say I really don't want another bag. This has been amazingly nice layout and convenience.
I bought a vanquest trident 32 in Vulcan black because of your review on it and I think it's awesome! But I do have a hard time with the main compartment zipper.

love the review! but in general, CCW functionality is a bit of a joke for regular carrying folks. No civilian should be carrying a handgun in the back of a back pack for the simple reason that if there is a robbery attempt, your handgun will not be close enough to you to grab and use in time. -the gun not in your hand is the one you wont use. In the law enforcement world, back packs carry ADDITIONAL resources, not primary resources. Better to appendix carry and save the room in the pack for other things....unless you plan on carrying a back up gun in the pack, which would be a little nutty, even in the urban area that I live in. Thank you for the review, looks like an awesome edc bag!
@@Sheltowee1775 I used it months ago...I ama review channel and need to keep moving forward. I can't use any particular bag for more than a few months until I need to review a new one. This video was from a year ago
@@petemitchell6788 no you're sniffing glue because that's like saying every feature on every product you own needs to be used. Well since you don't use the ice maker that's the wrong fridge for you. Well, you don't use your 6 iron... that's the wrong set of golf clubs. I don't use the one compartment and that makes the whole bag no good for me? You must really struggle...
It's laid out perfectly actually. I'm not sure what would be changed? It wasn't exactly compared to a jansport... just discussing the nostalgia factor. Did you watch more than a minute of the video?
outer limitless I watched the whole video, but it does look like a JA sport type bag. Even though it’s obvious that it isn’t, just like Vanquest they have come up with some youth/type looking bags, I’m not a fan. Vertx has the right Idea on urban type bag, but still keeping it desirable for grownups, I have been buying their products lately. I have Maxpedition, Vanquest bags, but this 2020 versions are not appealing to me, and will probably not be to those that bought from these companies in the past. Just saying
I gotcha...yes, totally understood. So, I think you are right that many of the fans of traditional Maxpedition and Vanquest products won't naturally gravitate to these. The appeal of the traditional setup on both brands is what drew my attention. These definitely do not, however, after using this particular bag its layout and ease of use is very desirable in many ways...more so to the fans who like that old school look. I also think you nailed the idea about Vertx. They are a very impressive brand and one that has the best of both worlds very well dialed in...great point!
At 4.32 minutes, when it was confirmed that there is no sternum straps, I stopped watching. My minimum must-have feature is a sternum strap 👎 This should be a basic feature for all backpacks !!
I definitely agree...I really do like having the sternum strap to help keep the shoulder straps in place. This bag can definitely hold some weight too...fully loaded there's a ton of capacity and well organized, so a sternum strap...even if it's removable, would be great. However...it's not a deal breaker for me. I found I enjoy it just the same as a daily carry. The layout is excellent. For the money it's a solid bag. But yes...I too am a sternum strap kind of guy!
They're not perfect, but worked well overall. Improved shoulder straps would be my biggest suggestion for enhancement. The layout on this bag is fantastic though!
Better not watch any more of my channel then...or actually, why don't you go right ahead and give every single one of my videos a thumbs down. You know how much it costs me to run this channel? 10's of thousands of dollars...so if I can get a few bucks it really helps. Do me a favor...go watch someone else's content.

Cool non tactical grey man edc bag really cool assortment of pockets etc.
The pocket layout is really great on this bag!
Put a sit pad in the back pocket, along with hand warmers and an emergency poncho. Instant cold weather prep.

Yes it would be better if the back has a additional pads.. is the straps would last long if you carry a heavy load?
I have no problems with the straps just yet and reasonably heavy load on a daily carry
"And this pouch here can be used for a hydration bladder, all you have to do is rig something for it to hang and oh yeah, cut a hole for the straw..."
Thanks for filming

my jansport big student bag is almost exactly the same
except it's more L and worse materials, one mesh water bottle holder
Do you think this pack would fit a broken-down 16'' AR?
I'm not certain...if you want to provide some dimensions I can take some measurements for you...
How tall are you? Does it looks good? I'm 5'7".
I am 6'1" I like it...has been a great bag for me!
great review
I wish the would use standard mesh water bottle pockets.
Truly these water bottle pockets are great...I really like them
outer limitless I want it to look like a standard Jansport backpack. I also like to stuff hat or gloves in there in the winter.
Vanquest my man remember them?
Yes, I remember them well!

@@outerlimitless oh. Ok. Gotcha.
Sternum strap defeats the point of a CCW pack. That’s the reason almost none of them come with them. This is the wrong pack for you.
Wrong pack for me? Or other people? I don't ccw and I want a sternum strap, and the bag was about prefect for edc... so not wrong for me.

Not quite convinced on that bag, the color is nice, just not laid out right, and comparing it to a JanSport , not what a conceal carry grownup wants.
