Thanks for sharing. I used to enjoy Ned Thompson's pea whack when I went on board as a nipper with my dad John McGurk. Some names that were often mentioned when telling yarns. Legends!
My father, Captain Robert Morton Browne, sailed on the Head Line for over 23 years, before coming ashore for the last time. I remember him talking about many of the people in this video recollection. Thank you, Harry, for this fine remembrance of Head Line's history and their personnel!
The photo with Tom and Davy Hillock has my father on the far left Cyril Anderson very young then Chief Stewart , a lot of the other names I can remember well Capt Eddie Daley Tommy Purdue Campbell Kerr Tut Tut Harrison lots of great stories my father told of adventures at sea all great memories. He also had an identical twin brother sailed in the headline also a chief Stewart Cecil Anderson
silly old fool me, yes, the R/0 on the Rathlin was long time Ernie Heywood, not Roy Sterling, as he was on the Carrigan Head. Of course Cy Pringle is the man, and Jimmy Gregg on the left, the 3/0, before taking off to ED's.

Love seeing mention of Commander Robert. Would be my 2nd cousin. Wish I had been able to meet him ♥️

My dad John always spoke of Cyril. I think they sailed together often
Great memories, Harry.
At 6:44 "Roy Stirling" is actually Cyril Pringle, Chief Officer, on Rathlin Head.
Thank you.
