- We are getting ready for some street stuff and needed to make a TEST hit in the Fireball.. Well these Procharger combos are not quiet and attracted some unexpected visitors!

Ryan, I have a suggestion that can help you locate and pinpoint chassis vibration; I retired from NASA and when I was working at the NASA research center at Edwards AFB, I overseen the Loads Lab. What they did in the loads lab was attach and bond vibration sensors to numerous areas of aircraft air frame. During flight they would collect the data of the flight, and post flight NASA engineers would review the data to pinpoint any high vibration areas. This process was very useful to located problem areas, and can be used to help you get data on your chassis. If you want to learn more I can give you a NASA contact POC, to give you more information.

I liked the nitrous story. In 1979-80 (long-long-long before Compucar), I had a 1975 Chevy Monza, 5 liter (305 CuIn - 2 barrel stock carb I replaced with a Holley 600cfm on an Edelbrock SP2P) that I made my own nitrous injectors by drilling and threading a 1" carb plate, ran copper tubing with 8 0.030" holes. I cutout the stock air cleaner box to fit onto the Holley 600. I hid the 16lb bottle in the spare tire space in the rear under the tire cover, under the hatchback. Ran a steel braided line for the nitrous down the centerline of the car, over the transmission. Added an electric fuel pump for the added solenoid next to the nitrous solenoid - hid both under the stock air cleaner. Looked bone stock, more or less. Had a blast.

I'm older than you....I started pulling 5.0 mustang engines in my dads garage back in the early 90s. Heck I remember seeing one of the first prochargers when they first came out....lol
@@MrCheckster2000 the first time I saw and dealt with Pro chargers was in go fast boats around the late 90's early 2ks..... The marina I worked for used to sell the shit out of them for big block mercuiser's. It was one of the first water to air intercoolers out there and I ran one on my S10 and people were clueless about it. People always used to bet against me because they thought I was running a low boost setup without an intercooler because it was hidden 😆

Man Ryan seems like a dude I would hang out with or do work for now you can tell he's a good hearted and down to earth guy now I don't like how Pilgram portrays him to be on tv. Galot is my home track I know and do ALOT of chassis and other work for Mr Wells I am 12 miles from the track and we race on the river road its all farmland and if y'all wanna make some hits and don't wanna get busted or ya wanna come and do some gambling we get it done on the street here too and my place is only 5 miles from I-95 if y'all need a place to work on your cars I know your like me ya have every thing w ya when ya go outta town but its always cool to have a place to chill amd work on your cars if ya break em and I have my own machine shop do my own engine work I would love to afford those proline engines but I have to buy the blocks and heads and rotating assembley and build my own and been in the 3's so I guess I do pretty decent but been at it since I was a kid and I am 52 now so anyways enjoy the videos y'all be safe and hope to see y'all out this way!!
After some more time with the hemi, be really intrested in a video about the maintenance difference between the hemi and 481.
Proline video made it seem like the hemi needed a lot more maintenance.
In Australia, that would be 30 day impound and about $1500 in fines...glad to see there are sensible cops stateside...nice hit ..❤️🔥🔥🔥🇭🇲

@@timk.3286 yeah everyone had all this extra time to get either their cars or new cars ready so I’m sure everyone is gonna be showing up with the best equipment and cars they could get ready. Also with all the new faces showing up this year it is going to be very interesting
Ryan won NPK Ohio with ease! How badass would it be if Shawn completely outshined Justin’s ass? So tired of Justin thinking he’s the fan favorite, his whole NPK3 appearance was cringe as hell. I would love to see Shawn become bigger and better than Justin after they split because Shawn wasn’t all about racing like Justin was. I’m surprised Justin was able to find a helmet big enough to fit that massive head of his.

@@FireballCamaro Yes sir to that! I have to say the guys here do have a sense of humor , more so than other channels. And I do really like the time you Guys video while in the shop! I to am very careful when I hold a strut or shock piston with the vise grips to keep it from spinning to get the nut tight on the spinning piston shaft. I even put the vise grips gently on worn out hood struts on the late model cars that come in my shop, they are shot already but I still try not to mar them. You show real deal stuff most of us can relate to and man you guys work hard and put in mad hours!!! You deserve everything you have gotten so far in my book and good luck to many more!!! You guys have always been a favorite of mine, my wife no as she thought it was all handed to you. I said “no these guys put in work and reap the rewards and deserve every dam thing!!!’ I hope the subscribers take off and you tube pays proper dividends! So

Looks like the Scottsbluff City Counsel agreed to have Discovery Channel film in the area again. I was able to catch some racing last year and visit with Jeff Lutz "Great Guy" and was looking forward to seeing some live racing in my neck of the woods again. Hopefully you guys can make it out to the Nebraska panhandle.
I use one of those wrenches made to help grip jar lids. It's plastic with a rubber strap. Doesn't mark and tear up the shaft.
Edit: you guys talked about the oil filter wrench version lol. Yall got the coolest cops man. Here my shit would of been on a wrecker headed for city impound.

You never get a feeling for how loud these cars really are until you see em in person the fireball was still loud when it had twins on the 481.
Forsure i met dominater and the 3rd gen camaro think his names derek. They raced at a local place here in missouri a few years ago. Super nice guys but yes cars are amazingly loud

I think we all learned one big disadvantage of the Procharged set up vs turbo. It is impossible to make a “discreet” test hit on the street with the Procharger. It is so damn LOUD!!!

They make Rachel sets where socket and rachet is hollow for studs. Where you can use for long bolts or need to use a allen wrench for shafts.

Fireball do you ever have trouble with your tie rods hitting your A arm? We had this happen on our late model before I figured out what was causing the bump steer to change while we were racing.

Lighter = straighter = faster. A Lot faster. If you'd sacrifice a few pounds for silencing, it would attract less crowd. And gain a few pounds on low end torgue to shave a couple of hundreds at the first half. The recipe is simple: connect the zoomies with an expansion chamber, and bleed that out for eliminating the excess back pressure. This evens out the pulses and keeps the initial combustion inside the chamber.

As irritating as the sound is it's a very wise idea to have atmosphere sensors in the trailer. It will save someone being asphyxiated. Too cool the Police told you fellas to go on, make a hit then call it good. Load up and go home. They could have been different and made a ton a trouble for you. Gotta love our Police who are down deep, under the uniform - motor heads huh :)
