“Adagio” was the first track on Lara Fabian's self-titled 2000 album. The song was originally “Adagio in G minor” which is a neo-Baroque composition written by Remo Giazotto. The crossover was written by Rick Allison, Lara Fabian and Dave Pickell. Rick Allison also produced the track. Tough song to sing so please don’t judge to harshly. I never though any male singer could do this song as well as Dimash does it but I'm liking this one just as much!

@@donopete1 Well, we'll have to agree to disagree. I have lived and breathed pop music for my entire quite long life and I consider Dimash's 2017 performance of "Adagio" on the Chinese reality talent show to be among the most spectacular vocal performances of all time. That being said, I would agree with you concerning every other performance I have heard him do of the same song.
@@dougfriendly7676 have you heard Lara Fabian’s original version? I think that is the ultimate. By the way, if you enjoy super talented singers, Doug, might I recommend you check out David Phelps? He is a southern gospel tenor. Many consider him to be the best non opera tenor in the world. Enjoy 🙂👍
@@donopete1 I am not a big fan of Lara Fabian, but I do rather like her version of "Adagio" (which I discovered many years ago) although I find her unwatchable due to the bizarre physical movements she produces as she sings. And I would much rather listen to your version, or to Dimash's. As for David Phelps, I have listened to him on and off over the years, I have particularly liked his singing of "Nessun Dorma." I have, however, avoided delving too deeply into his catalog of music due to so much of it being of a Christian nature.

Excellent performance with effective sustains, beautifully executed melismas and crystal clear English diction. Your wonderful voice deserves a better background scenography: If you can't find a stage venue, set up a glittering backdrop curtain with special lighting.
