Absolutely love the aesthetics of your containers. I tried it once but, like you I encountered some root rot. So I panicked and moved my few to self watering containers. Very interested in seeing your progress as I’d love to pursue this. How are you watering… how much and how often? And how are you preventing algae? Wishing you continued success!
Thank you so much! Some seem to really like it, and others are struggling a bit in the transition. I'm currently watering once a week, just filling up the leca reservoir. As for algae, I might be in the minority of those who actually enjoy the look of it. I'm planning to introduce beneficial microbes to the substrate in the next month or so, so that might combat it a bit anyways! Wishing you success too!
