I do love a good lobster. In garlic butter and I love the fact your family is included with your catches and tries everything such a great way to save on food by getting your own well done mate 👍
@@familyfishingplus1774 I live in the Midlands, so I take what I can when I can! Got 2 of each off a fisherman in Pembrokeshire a few weeks back. The lobby claws were like my fists. He asked for £30!! I gave him £40 and thanked him greatly.
Fantastic bit of education for any would be lobster forager Joe. So important that we all are aware that any lobster that has any sponginess to it is generally not a great eater. Let’s all forage responsibly and try not to take the girls from the ecosystem ❤ good on you Cappo

Well done Captain, it was really interesting to see you accept that it wouldn’t be fishy and so focus on lobos instead. There’s a lot to be said for that - focusing on one hunting strategy at a time and being prepared to adapt as well is essential to successful hunts. What are your thoughts?
Just arrived in Scotland for a week and can’t wait to get in the water again. Great timing for further inspiration. Quick question - do you routinely have your torch gaffered to the lobster hook or was that just because it freed a hand up for filming solo?
Fantastic, hope you have goot times in the water! So now yes I routinely have the torch actually mounted on a welded magnet bracket on the side of the hook. Ben does hand-make some that we sell at the shop although they are very fiddly to make I believe!
What a shame about the viability! Some fantastic lobsters tho. The interest reef is just left of the middle carpark my father shot some good Pollock and a big turbot many years ago tho.
I don't like to say exactly where because it could encourage many people to go to those areas I forage, when I think it's better for people to find their own spots so that certain marks don't get hammered. There is loads of coastline to pick from!

Thanks so much!
Lobster is very nice undeniably. But a big old brown crab is just sublime.
@@derekroberts8637 my wife loves all forms of crustaceans she prefers lobster then spider then brown but over all she wouldn’t say no to any of them

Great lobster action Joe. Amazing effort with the camera setup down there too!
Thanks 👍
Are you or coyote
Lovely vlog Joe, youre very lucky to have a great bit of coastline at your fingertips, enjoy!
I sure am! Cheers.
Just received on of those lobster/torch hooks, game changer. Great Chanel by the way 👌🏻

Thanks Pickle. Definitely thinking about future stocks is the way forward.
@joe my son now is 4yrs old going 5 this september. time flies.!
Great video 👍
Great video Joe - I'm interested to hear what it is that you have used to attach your torch to your lobster hook?
hi mate, Ben has made a few for the shop. If tyou fancy one worth giving shop a call to check stock levels
Funny how things work, I just took a look at your channel after not seeing you for a while and you uploaded a minute ago 🤣
Welcome back! But I've uploaded 8 times recently...

Great video as usual Joe, will there be a video also for the crab linguine??
not planned right now but possibly some time in the future...

I think a good hunter is one who can adapt and bring home dinner whatever posedion throws at him/her!

delicious lobsters🤙

Was down at Slapton recently with university for a field trip, was wondering if it’s close to where you go Mr pike !
V close Mr Robson! V close indeed :)
Hallo Joe, i really would like to live an adventure like yours. Which part of England did you dive in this video?
South Devon
Just one advice: next time don't add that butter/garlic sauce, but a mix of olive oil, lemon juice, salt and parsley mixed together 😉
Sounds great I look forward to trying!
Great Video did you notch the big boy before releasing him?
Thanks. As far as I'm aware, the V notch system is for females.
👍
I'm 40hrs into a 48hr water fast and then you cook up 2 stunning lobster in front of me !!! I'm not sure I can make the 48hrs now 😂
Water fast?
@@funkeydude99director no food, just water for 48hrs.. I normally do a 72hr twice a year but cut it short this time 😁
Oops, sorry about that!
@@JoePkSpearfishing I pushed on through 😆
What the name of the place where you dive?
we just had an oil spill here in singapore :(( welp, no more seafood foraging for awhile…
Oh no, sorry to hear it..

Yeah, was a shame, often bad in that bay. Haha you know the spot! Fair play
Have you ever dived on that reef? left hand side of the middle carpark, then about 50 yards further left, reef start's about 170ish yards out.
Yummy🦞🦞
Lobsters quite common in UK waters I see, shallow waters I mean. Not so common here in Portugal. Spider crabs yes, not lobsters.
I love your videos but don't really tell us what beaches etc you are fishing from. Would be great to know.

Eggs liver etc, some like some don't I guess...
