When you mentioned a dewpoint of 34c I could feel the sweat forming on my hands from wearing those gloves and its -31c here today with the windchill ;)
@@pldaniels Ya you said Dew point must be getting close to 30 degrees. That is still no fun with something that is not breathable. Its just here the -ve temps are normal here for Nov-March or so. Like you I also would like to be fixing other people's stuff for a change rather my own.
Well done :-D, another machine grabbed from the jaws of death lol. I havn't seen an ant in my house for years, thankfully. One grain of sugar and they invade. But woodlice/silverfish and the odd spider roaring across the floor because i dare to walk past it are common :-D. The odd red milipede appears in the bathroom, must have smelly feet to wash.
I had to lookit up..what colors solder Metals turn, and green is generally salt water... Really would love an analysis of that Cheap solder.. Would it be nice if they Varnished most of the board to protect it??
To add to that, could you put them in a video overlay akin to the multimeter? :) The Quick 861DW doesn't have a serial out, but there could be UART pins on its board somewhere...
I find they work together well ( skill and luck, one begets the other ) . I do very much enjoy having the automated switcher, probably saves a lot of scene mistakes on the streams.
Not really. Nothing too exotic, much like the standard down the middle of the line stuff that everyone else usually uses in this industry. Only quirks I have are perhaps the fume extractor and bench multimeter.
Warm up that screw driver metal part, nad soften the plastic inside, see if it will reseat....Good cheap drivers have a wing on the back to keep them straight..
if it moves automatically to the microscope, you can hide it just the same knowing that. Hiding things would not be a high priority to Louis, and that makes him valuable in the sense of knowing what you are seeing. Usually watching say Linus, you can never tell what the truth is, because the value to him is the dialogue direction, and proving his point, and on the off chance the particular item is the other fates his show to my discretion, thus not really getting that much out of what he offers.
Winning! Good to see the microscope mod in action and working well!
Nicely done Paul. While you have it really hot, we are sitting at a balmy -7C today. Regards, Dave

I hope I didn't say 34'C (that would be crazy :-o ) . I think last night was closer to 27'C (dewpoint). Certainly was not pleasant at all.

Upside I suppose of living in a comparatively cold part of the world. Of course, then you have a lot more issues with spilled beer perhaps :D
LOL you bad lad.
That was a nice catch, I likely would have missed that.
Instablaster.

hi, paul. Question. I think that the Multimeter on the screen is not ok.
Great work Paul
at 5.48 and before i watch any further ..... wonder if PP5V_S0 missing ....one of the enables.
Are you able to share the hot air settings you're using for macbooks and iphones?
To add to that, could you put them in a video overlay akin to the multimeter? :) The Quick 861DW doesn't have a serial out, but there could be UART pins on its board somewhere...
Only 3 settings I use; Macbooks: 460/110 , iPhones: 420/60, general warming up: 250/40
What about the nozzle sizes?
Skill and luck, working together. And clever microscope rig working well.

Well, it's -9°C here in the Midwest (USA) with a wind chill of -13°C.
Hi Paul. Have you done a video on your gear?

You sound like a Pro.
Hooray! Good win, she ain't pretty she just looks that way! Take care and don't melt away on us. Cheers mate!
Send some hot air to Finland, please! 👍
Good job 😉👍

Paul video > Sleep
I used to fall asleep with Louis streams. It must be more of a time zone question...
Great!
The bigger the blob, the better the job.
