    Moo do you think a newbie ocean fishing kayaker can manage a trip like this in Tomales Bay?

    • @MooMooOutdoors
      @MooMooOutdoors  Год назад

      Yes, as long as you are mindful of the wind and the current, beginner can do it. The tidal current can get pretty during big tide swings so avoid during those strong current hours.

    Good video Moo way to change it up on video content. Like the camping videos a lot. Going to tomales in late august hopefully the halibut will be biting

    • @MooMooOutdoors
      @MooMooOutdoors  Год назад

      Yes, August would be better bite. There were many power boats on the water but we only saw a couple of halibut landed.

    Interesting outing. Did you attempt to catch live bait for use while halibut fishing? Can you explain why eel grass is a problem?

    • @MooMooOutdoors
      @MooMooOutdoors  Год назад +1

      Yes we tried to catch live bait but we couldn't. Trolling while there are lots of eel grass is not easy because you snag them constantly. Best was is to drift with the live bait which we didn't have.

    Been wondering how the crabbing has been over there towards the end of the season. Guess the dungies must have moved out back to the deep waters. 😢
