The whole point of Neon Beats is that by following the rhythm of the music you're able to complete the levels faster for speedrunning lol, that's why it felt easy when you took it slower and did it without considering the rhythm.

I loved playing Jazz Jackrabbit as well. You can buy the full version of both games on GOG and they have it on sale right now for $1 for Jazz 1 or Jazz 2. Fun to finally get to play the full versions of the games and not the shareware ones.

Muse dash is definitely on rhythm lol. It just doesn't seem like it because it doesn't follow the notes or beat you think it does. And also sometimes the game adds something like a 'tom fill' or something like that.

Just Shapes and Beats is always a fun time, and I think you’d find it interesting. Geometry Dash is always a horribly difficult time, but it’d be funny to see.
The best thing about Muse Dash is: They brought a nyan-update, where you can let most playable characters become cats. So if one doesn't like the more nsfw-things, one could ban them in these bodies lol
If you do a second video you should play “Cytus II” I use a mobile version, I don’t know if there’s a pc one, but you should try it. It has Japanese music and and an interesting storyline. The levels aren’t supper hard but they’ll be challenging enough.
You really need to feel the rhythm to get into these games and be able to react to changes spontaneously without losing it. It’s like improv meets percussion honestly.
Since Beat Saber was mentioned... VR’s even more immersive... I feel like with VR rhythm games it’s almost more like choreography... you have to feel it in your entire body to do well.

There's this flash game called Super Crazy Guitar Maniac Deluxe 4 that I was obsessed with when I was younger. It's basically what you expect from the title. You play the guitar on the songs in the game using your keyboard and get points if your timing is right.

If you guys live near a Round 1 Arcade, it would be absolutely amazing if you play Sound Voltex, Beatmania, Wacca, or any of the lesser known rhythm games outside of Japan. Groove Coaster is on Steam and that would be a fun watch as well.
